  1. Those little black pellets get into places that should never be inhabited by little black pellets.
  2. Get a good HC first. Then a guy like Geno Smith can QB you to the playoffs. Neithet Jordan or Kobe ever won a championship without Phil. Just saying...
  3. I'd say this oline has the highest potential based on age and starts. If they're all still together in 2 years (maybe midway through next season), I'd expect them to be one of the best in the NFL.
  4. How so? Are you saying you think a great rookie QB has more impact on wins/losses than the coaches and staff?
  5. This, in my opinion, is exponentially important than the 22 year old QB brought in to "save the franchise."
  6. Oddly enough Cam struggled with the short gimmies. He would tend to fire the ball to the receiver, not giving himself any room for error. Probably just needed to take a little off. But... I've never seen any QB throw that deep out like young Cam. That mofo would throw a 15 yard out late and the DB couldn't do anything but watch it.
  7. Pretty sure I saw DJ take his helmet off after a big drop on the drive before the long TD. He was definitely on the field then. No flag. I guess it only matters if you score a potentially game-winning TD.
  8. Rivera was the wrong coach for Cam. Defensive minded, super conservative, gave no Fs about an o-line. Cam showed everyone in 2015 that if he had a decent o-line, he could win with JAGs at WR. Yet Rivera never made the o-line a priority - idiot.
  9. Panthers needed a Fitts to fix this oline for Cam and Rivera. Showed it wasn't as hard as they made it seem. Rivera had healthy Cam, CMC, Moore, Olsen and Curtis Samuel in 2018 and couldn't produce. Imagine what Shanahan does with that group. Hell, imagine what he'd do with CMC, Moore, TMJ and Laviska - even with Baker at the helm.
  10. And it doesn't matter if the team doesn't get the right coaching staff in here. I don't agree with not trading Burns, but Fitts has done a great job in my opinion.
  11. Burns is not worth two 1s and a 2. No one on this team is. Very few players in the NFL are. Should have taken that trade. I don't care where the picks fall. And future picks can used as leverage to move up in this draft.
  12. I think I'll go fishing for the rest of the afternoon. Ain't wasting this beautiful Sunday on this .
  13. Everything they're doing is working. Everything...
  14. With the money the Panthers are about to pay him, he can get 2 or 3 mansions in LA and a private jet to take him home whenever he wants.
  15. We need inside LBs. They are trash. As trash as our TEs.
  16. Was thinking it, but didn't want to say it. Two 1s and a 2nd are way more than he's worth. Even if they're the 32nd picks.
  17. That's a HAUL!! I like Burns, bit he's not worth that. Not many players are.
  18. I know Bama has historically been a bad QB school. But the past few QBs out of Bama would be better than anything we've had since Cam.
  19. Can't understate the situation/team taking these QBs. Lawrence and Wilson are as talented as any QB coming out of college in recent memory. Unfortunately they went to bad situations. Eli did the right thing by forcing a trade that prevented him from being ruined by a bad team.
  20. They really should have just drafted Von Miller if they had little plans on helping the QB picked #1 overall.
  21. Ummm... Tua and Jalen Hurts are both undersized Bama QBs?
  22. The fact that this team went from Rivera to Rhule is so disheartening. Carolina has wasted and failed to develop so many talented players over the last decade. This team should legit have at least 2 of the last 10 Super Bowls.
  23. OP has a point though. I thought the same thing after he missed that tackle. And it happens way too often to be honest. If Burns could just finish plays, Panthers probably wouldn't be able to afford to extend him. He'd easily average 20+ sacks a season, and some team would give the Panthers their entire draft for him.
  24. Shouldn't have been a penalty, but DJ knew better. He put it in the refs hands and he immediately knew he made a mistake. But... DJ is the least "look at me" WR in the NFL. Game winning catch after the 3rd down drop in the previous drive was redemption and no one should be blaming a man for showing emotion in the most emotional game in the world right now. The team had his back and got in position to win again. Pineiro's chip shot miss took the wind out of everyone. They were tired, depleted and demoralized after that.
  25. Football is entertainment to me now. Too old to allow wins and loses, of which I have no control, alter my mood. It was an entertaining game, so I'm good with it. Getting boat raced by scrubs isn't entertaining but had become the norm. Just happy I can watch Panther football again with hope of being entertained.
