There is absolutely no reason not to put Wegher in if the Panthers maintain a 21 point lead going into the last 5-6 minutes of the game. We're gonna need CAP to contribute in the playoffs, and if they can find another weapon then the team is better for it. God knows, we better not be relying on these WRs to win games.

Good post PhillyB. That outside leverage bail technique has its place in certain situations. But, I hate that we use it on nearly every down. If we ran the same run blocking scheme every play, do you think defensive coordinators and/or players would pick up on it? Just can't believe we failed to adjust the entire game.

That technique can work when your DBs are better athletes and can close to make a break up. Players like Tillman and Jones aren't built for that. i think Nick Saban uses teaches the outside leverage technique in man to man. But, you know, he does have better athletes.

That was Chicago, where Josh Norman literally gave Brandon Marshall 7-10 yards cushion with outside leverage all the way down the field. They kicked a FG to win.

Agree on all points. If you can run, but can't pass protect, why not just continue running? CAP was gashing ATL for big gains. The read option was hit or miss. Would add that I hated outside leverage as a CB. Any real DB wants to bump and run, taking away the inside routes and forcing a pass over my head but before the sideline. Matt Ryan was content with the short slant routes and getting first downs. What was the ToP ratio?

I get you're upset that the team lost an opportunity to go undefeated. But to blame it on Cam not caring is probably about as inaccurate as it gets. The falcons played very inspired and it's still possible we see them again in the playoffs. They're not as bad as you all are letting on.
