Packers tried to trade for DJ Moore...
Navy_football replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's a HAUL!! I like Burns, bit he's not worth that. Not many players are. -
I know Bama has historically been a bad QB school. But the past few QBs out of Bama would be better than anything we've had since Cam.

What’s your 2023 QB big board (including Corral)
Navy_football replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
Can't understate the situation/team taking these QBs. Lawrence and Wilson are as talented as any QB coming out of college in recent memory. Unfortunately they went to bad situations. Eli did the right thing by forcing a trade that prevented him from being ruined by a bad team. -
They really should have just drafted Von Miller if they had little plans on helping the QB picked #1 overall.
-
Ummm... Tua and Jalen Hurts are both undersized Bama QBs?
-
The fact that this team went from Rivera to Rhule is so disheartening. Carolina has wasted and failed to develop so many talented players over the last decade. This team should legit have at least 2 of the last 10 Super Bowls.

Are We Really Not Going To Talk About This?!
Navy_football replied to Castavar's topic in Carolina Panthers
OP has a point though. I thought the same thing after he missed that tackle. And it happens way too often to be honest. If Burns could just finish plays, Panthers probably wouldn't be able to afford to extend him. He'd easily average 20+ sacks a season, and some team would give the Panthers their entire draft for him. -
DJ Moore should not have been penalized for helmet removal
Navy_football replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Shouldn't have been a penalty, but DJ knew better. He put it in the refs hands and he immediately knew he made a mistake. But... DJ is the least "look at me" WR in the NFL. Game winning catch after the 3rd down drop in the previous drive was redemption and no one should be blaming a man for showing emotion in the most emotional game in the world right now. The team had his back and got in position to win again. Pineiro's chip shot miss took the wind out of everyone. They were tired, depleted and demoralized after that. -
Football is entertainment to me now. Too old to allow wins and loses, of which I have no control, alter my mood. It was an entertaining game, so I'm good with it. Getting boat raced by scrubs isn't entertaining but had become the norm. Just happy I can watch Panther football again with hope of being entertained.

I'm with the young, offensive-minded HC approach. Always have been. The reason is they tend to be more aggressive and innovative. I will say that Wilks has been much better than previous regimes with getting the best guys on the field. No politics or undeserved loyalty. Just best man up. Learns from past weeks' mistakes and adjusts at halftime. And holds guys accountable. Got an attitude problem - gone. Not performing up to NFL standards - reduced playing time until you're ready. Is he the long term answer? Can't know after 2 weeks, but he's damn sure going in the right direction.

Nah I saw him all over the field "ALMOST" making plays. He's become the epitome of Ron's slogan - missed opportunities. -

Didn't Byrd run a 4.2 forty or something crazy like that? If that ain't fast, then... -

Defense is gassed. Plenty of time left for the Panthers to score though. I like this scenario. -

That throw is forgiven if PJ can continue to make the gimme throws. Panthers are a better team. Just need consistent QB play. -

That's what you get with PJ. Decision making has always been suspect. -

Yeah I think I caught it live. He turned his back to the defender and let him take himself out the play. That's how they're taught to get in the way in that situation. Shouldn't have been a penalty. -

Foreman is grown man! No idea why Rhule didn't include him earlier.
