  1. Wish our receivers could adjust to the ball like that
  2. Come on yall. Any next contract or extension will take his injury history into account. Could be a blessing in disguise when he's extended for way below market value, but figures out how to stay on the field.
  3. Never seen such wide open receivers! Are we becoming an offensive team?! Are we becoming a team that schemes players open?! If I'm dreaming, don't wake me up til January, maybe even February!!!
  4. Agree. In the grasp. If the defender would have been a jerk and pulled/twisted Mahomes leg causing a soft tissue or ligament injury... well that would have been bad.
  5. Really don't care about record that much. I was really hoping we'd field a pro offense this season. Been a long time since we've had one.
  6. I hope this isn't an indication of what tye offense will look like during the season. This is Rivera-esque.
  7. I'm not ready to crown them AFC champs just yet, but they can definitely take the AFC East. Yes, I am confident in saying that division will come down to the wire with them and Buffalo. Jets probably win their last 7 games.
  8. I agree with almost everything here. Zod referenced the 2011 season vs the 2015 season. I think 2011 was 6-10. Just comparing this season to Cam's first season with a new HC and coaching staff for the Panthers vs the 2015 season when the team was closer to being a contender. Expectations should realistically be a lot closer to 6-10 than 15-1.
  9. Maybe. Having a QB that can at least move the chains consistently makes a difference to a defense.
  10. He should legit apologize to Corral. That was embarrassing.
  11. Not just first round, but the #1 pick in the draft QB's career is wasted. If you pick a QB #1 in the draft, you have to give him everything he needs to succeed. He is the player that determines your fate. That's why Ron pissed my off so much. Should have just drafted Von Miller if you were gonna ignore WR and OL, and just stack up on RBs, DTs and CBs.
  12. Yep. I can see that. I think I just interpreted it as such. Agree with keeping plays simple for the reason you suggested. It's just that you're not giving fans the real show. Just call it a practice scrimmage and charge for concessions. Don't charge fans to see a watered-down version of an NFL football game. Really was just playing devil's advocate cause I could see it both ways. Just a thought.
  13. If you're not giving 100% on a football field, then you're already increasing your chances of injury. 100% effort should be a given. The only thing to debate is preparation and playcalling.
  14. Ehhh... agree, not a team concern, but an NFL concern. If you're going to charge admission, albeit cheaper, then you should deliver what you advertise. Don't call it games and make it a big deal. Just call it a practice scrimmage and charge for concessions. I don't know. Just a thought.
  15. Stoic Ron was cancelled out by Chud and McDermott. Playcalling was legit that season. This season is an unknown, but with a lot of potential. Offensively... this team can't touch the talent. Cam walked into an offense that was only missing the leader. Defense gave up games that year. Can't expect a rookie QB to win shoot outs every week.
  16. Yep. Coaches should agree on how they're playing the game prior to the start. I know they do that to some degree during practice. Then again. Fans are paying to attend these GAMES. Perhaps preseason SHOULD be treated like games from a preparation stand point. A game with 2nd and 3rd stringers. Hard to prepare that way, but vanilla schemes and play calls are not what fans pay to see. Just a thought.
  17. Yeah, the Jets Dline is a problem! They're gonna be hard to move the ball against getting consistent pressure without giving up a man in coverage. Remember when the Panthers had that? That unit kept the team in games when the offense had a hard time getting things going.
  18. Agree. These are learning opportunities. They were fooled and outschemed. That can be corrected. Unlike in the past when 3 of 5 offensive linemen were bull rushed into the QBs lap 1.5s after the snap! And to add. Those stunts were on point! They are well coached with timing and depth.
