I thought Reich was the master mind behind the mesh concept? When the hell are they gonna start implementing it? And I'd play Dalton next week as a sacrificial lamb to Micah. Bryce is gonna get killed if nothing changes. I mean it could ruin him for real. Maybe lose him for the season the way this oline is blocking. Run a stunt and they are lost and confused for the rest of the game.

Do you watch CJ Stroud and wonder ‘what if’?

CJ may be better than Bryce Young in the long run, but that doesn't mean Bryce Young is a bad QB. Bryce's situation is not the same as CJ's. ANY ONE CAN SEE THAT IF YOU'RE BEING OBJECTIVE. I don't care what those guys did in the past. Right now, CJ's weapons and Oline are playing at an NFL level. Bryce Young's supporting cast are not competing at an average NFL level. He has a David Carr situation right now and hopefully they don't break him. I saw a little regression Thursday so there's cause for concern. But CJ would NOT be doing what he's doing in Houston, if he was in Carolina. No friggin way. His top 4 receiving threats (including his TE) are better than any receivers on this team. Houston's oline is performing at a much higher level than Carolina's. It's not even close. -
A whip route? Wow

Yeah. Someone should be replaced. This ain't it.
-
He hasn't looked this bad. Last 2 games he's made some really bad decisions/throws.
-
An offense this bad. Let's be specific. This defense and special teams has been doing everything they can to win games. They're keeping the team in the game. But can't win if you can't score on offense.
-
I agree the oline is garbage. But he's missing the easy throws and reads now. When guys are open and he's not being presured, he has to make those throws/reads. I think the constant pressure and inconsistencies with guys getting separation is causing him to press and not go through his progressions.

Bryce has played better than this. He's getting worse. I think we broke him. Damn...

I don't know. Hard to objectively evaluate Bryce because of what's around him. Maybe he could be better with average NFL-level talent at playcalling, oline and WR. I think RB is improving as Miles gets fewer reps. I think we can say with great certainty that he isn't the kind of player that can make really bad players better. Just hoping we can see if he can make winners out of average players. Panthers just have to get some first.

It's already yours!

That was funny -
Not sure. This was in response to whoever said I had salty eyes to cope - or whatever. I don't get personal and dramatic unless you get personal and dramatic.

I didn't say you didn't watch the game. And again, just like last a couple of weeks ago, stats don't always tell the story. When you watch the game, these are very situations for these QBs. CJ could be football GOD like y'all want, but he damn sure has better protection and receivers than Bryce. Every one of his receivers and TEs would start over everyone of Carolinas. Houstons third guy would start over Carolinas #1.
-
Nah I ain't salty at all. Some of y'all act like a QB is a team. He isn't. He's an important player on the TEAM. But still a player that is only as good as his support. Y'all talk like y'all never played football before. Or sat the bench with googly eyes on the starting QB in high school.

3rd and 16. QB rolls out to Burns side and throws a dart for a first. -
Gotcha. So CJ is calling the play, snapping the ball to himself, blocking, throwing the ball to himself and then running it 75 yards for TDs. He's football GOD! I don't care what they did before the last weeks I've been watching them. But they've been making plays that don't get made by Carolina players. If you can't see that, it's because you don't want to - or you're not watching the game. And their oline gives football GOD time to at least set his feet before getting Hulk smashed by 3-4 defenders.
-
Dang missed it watching the Panthers crap show...
-
I'm thinking the same thing. Look, CJ is really good. Nobody can/would deny that. He also has 4 legit playmaking options right now. They are making plays. They aren't just the beneficiary of a generational talent at QB - which CJ could be.

I'll take it -
CJ is really good. But if you think Collins, Dell, Brown and Schultz aren't ballers, then... They are ALL PLAYMAKERS.

That's a good question.
