  1. I think Marshall could be really good if in the right system.
  2. Oh thanks for reminding me about TEs. Logan Thomas is better than any TE on this roster. He'd be the #1 or #2 receiving threat on this team - second maybe to a 33 year old AT. And Curtis Samuel is a playmaker. He even showed that here in Carolina. He's just not a wide out. More of a Laviska with slightly better route running. They have more speed and explosive play makers in Washington. It's ok to admit. But I do agree that Samuel and Logan could go down any time. But they haven't... yet.
  3. Huh? Howell has Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel as a slot (where he belongs). I'd trade every skill player we have for Terry Mclaurin.
  4. Somebody remind me... Wasn't Rivera "nudged" in to taking over playcalling from Eric Washington at one point? Was that Tepper or am I just making that up in my head?
  5. Well... that's not what happened last season. I would have sworn this team wasn't gonna win a game before Rhule was let go. Not saying they should fire Reich, but he may need some nudging in relinquishing playcalling duties.
  6. If this is true, it's 100% about Reich giving playcalling duties to Thomas. No other CHANGE can happen that will make a significant impact right away. Wins and losses be damned. If they keep putting Bryce in these CRAPPY situations, they are gonna ruin him. Brees wasn't Brees until Payton got a hold of him. Heck, Trevor wasn't Trevor until Pederson. Tua needed McDaniel. And I really don't think Purdy would be who he is without baby Shanny boy genius. Just saying. Guys around here act like playcalling and weapons don't matter. A QB's situation going in to the NFL is a HUGE factor to the level of success they'll have. Reich and his playcalling is not a good situation for BY, or Laviska, or Mingo, or Sanders, or Chuba, or...
  7. If anyone watched that video and came away thinking BY and Stroud's stiuation is even remotely equal... You have an ulterior motive. Much better protection. Much better separation. Much better plays with receivers spread out. This is not what BY is looking at on game days. Stroud is making the plays. But I'm not sure BY doesn't make these plays too.
  8. I'm just trying to understand why so many are stuck on drooling over players from other teams at this point. It doesn't matter if Stroud is a HOFer in 3 years and Bryce is out of the NFL next year. Bryce is the Panthers' QB. Stround is the Texans QB. That ain't gonna change. It would make more sense to compare him to 2nd round QBs in next year's draft or 1st rounders in 2025. No one can argue against Stroud having the most success thus far - 4 games in, or that AR looks like Cam lite. No one. But unless you're just gonna switch to a Texans or Colts fan, then it makes no sense to dog your QB out and overanalyze him because he isn't another rookie QB taken 1-2 picks after him in the draft. Stroud missed throws. AR misses reads. Every QB that has ever played does. We don't know who Bryce will ultimately be, after 3 friggin games. I didn't want the Panthers to move up to #1 to get any QB in this draft. I thought we needed more playmakers and actual WRs before bringing in a rookie QB, for the reasons we're seeing Bryce struggling now. But Bryce is a Panther now. So he's my guy until he isn't.
  9. You think our o-line has issues? That o-line is one of the worst I've ever seen. I feel bad for Daniel Jones. They are Carolina 2014 bad.
  10. I mean that's a good point. Their WR curse is even worse though. They've taken HOF level talents at the position and turned them into JAGs. Feel bad for Caleb and Marvin.
  11. fair point. but with so many good QBs coming out, it wouldn't be that hard to drop just out of QB-hungry teams range and still get Marvelous Marvin.
  12. not even Chicago can mess this up. Those first 2 picks are gold. They can absolutely do a 180 with those picks. Caleb first. Trade out of #2 far just far enough to still get Harrison. And still have extra day 2 picks to play with - enough to move back into the first again.
  13. I think that had a lot to do with Ron. He still holds a premium on the defense, because they keep you in games and stuff. Offense just has to not make mistakes. Defense is there to make plays.
  14. I agree with the "no ketchup on steak" take, but hot dogs? Come on bruh. Ketchup and mustard are hot dog staples.
  15. I'm not in the habit of defending BY anymore. Not until he at least attempts more deep passes, but that underthrown ball may have been the result of a bad route. The announcers thought it should have been a double move but he just ran a fly. That would throw off the timing. I mean, Bryce can at least throw the ball 50 yards. Heck his early issue was overthrowing the deep ball.
  16. It has been well known in the NFL that Brady's kryptonite is/was pressure from the interior. Nothing to do with height. Everything to do with a QB not being able to step up in the pocket or step into his throw.
