I get it now. I'll never discuss Bryce with some of you Bryce-haters again. You're completely unreasonable. He's a horrible QB and bringing this team down all by himself. His oline isn't that bad. He's putting them in bad situations and adjustments. His receivers are open but he's missing them. You're right. I don't concede. Just something about arguing with fools and them bringing you to their level...

Anybody looking at the last 2 plays and digging on Bryce is a JOKE. You can't be taken seriously any more.

Barno is much better against the run than Burns. Burns is playing the pass damn near every snap.

Burns sucks setting the edge. Didn't even try to fight through that.

Blackshear needs to play more. He's the best receiving back on the team, and Bryce needs a reliable check down. Wide receivers don't seem to understand the concept of "hot". I don't think they even look at what the defense is doing post snap - just out there running routes that don't match the defensive call or urgency. That's coaching.

Was really hoping Horn would be back. I think he would be huge against Dallas. Actually keep the game in a manageable score. Barno can do what Haynes does, so no loss there. What's up with Shenault though?!

Chart in a vacuum can be misleading. I agree. However, paired with protection issues and lack of time go through progressions, becomes more useful. Honestly, the last 2 games have been exceptionally bad for Bryce. He's pressing to make a play but he's being conserviative at the same time to prevent turnovers. I think he doesn't trust his receivers to get open or make the catch/play, and he doesn't trust his protection to allow him to go through progressions. Tough spot for any QB, particularly as the #1 pick in the draft. Protection appears to be improving (not sure that'll hold true against Dallas) along with receivers getting open. Now it's up to Bryce to settle down and make plays. Hopefully he can shake off the PTSD from the previous 7 games. I think he can. That's why he was chosen #1. Not for his physical abilities, but more for his ability to adjust mentally. Not sure how Reich calling plays impacts everything. I think he pulled the gun too early taking back playcalling. If Tepper is forcing this move, directly or indirectly, then he really needs to take a step back.

You can't fire Frank after one season. You have to give him a chance to get his players in here that are better suited to run his scheme. We want immediate success but perhaps he's focussed on the bigger picture. His offensive scheme isn't necessarily bad, it's just bad for the players currently here in Carolina. At the very least, you give him next season to see how he adjusts his scheme to his current players, or brings in the right guys to do things the way he needs it done.

Can't for the life of me understand why that's a sticking point for anyone that watches the games. Guys actually watched the Texans play and came away thinking Stroud was doing everything by himself on that team - pulling a bunch of bums kicking and screaming into relevance. Dude is balling, but Brown, Tank, Nico and Schultz are making plays all over the place. Contested catches, breaking long YAC, jet sweeps, toe drags, high pointing balls, tracking deep passes while running away from coverage. That ain't happening here. Bryce wasn't completing deep passes early in the season because Mingo and TMJ simply didn't have the ability to go get the ball. Any of those "overthrows" would have been deep completions to any of the Houston's 3 starting receivers.

Their defense probably drops 20... Anything under 50 would be a huge surprise.

He's running an offense that requires receivers that can win consistently at all levels. Carolina doesn't have that this season. This is the same ish we had with Rivera's group, which is the reason I wanted him out. That and the lack of resources he put into the offense after drafting a freak of nature at QB.

I hear you and agree in most cases. But a WR that can take the top of the defense and win contested passes can definitely change the way defenses play.

Some of you guys are sad. Creating an argument out of nothing, with an incredible lack of objectivity just to prove points. OP posted an opinion of an unbiased 3rd party and you still refuse to accept the obvious. Honestly, I haven't seen many/any posts saying Bryce is better than Stroud. Most folk just point out that Stroud has a much better situation than Bryce does with Oline, play calling and receiver play. I've been saying that since the week before Carolina played Houston, when I watched Houston play. Those guys are balling the Freak out in Houston! If you can't at least acknowledge that, then... I'll admit they were able to run that game, and maybe that was an outlier. Compared to Carolina, they have an offense of pro bowlers. Stroud is balling out too! No doubt. But he makes mistakes too. He misses passes too. He misreads defenses too. But he can throw a 10-15 yards pass that gets taken to the house 75 yards. Carolina has one guy that can do that - Laviska. And before he went on IR, playcallers couldn't figure out how to get him the ball in space.

Oh if he is truly calling the plays, with no restrictions, then I'm really disappointed. Maybe a few more games after Dallas dismantles this team is all he gets.

Now that's a true statement. I wouldn't disagree. That's why I thought Stroud was the pick before the draft. I thought Bryce was too much of a gamble for the #1 pick. But there's no way we can judge his ability based on this crap show.
