  1. The Panthers make every team look like the Ravens, but you will beat that Bryce blew it drum to anyone that'll listen.
  2. Why poo my post if you agree? You CJ and hate Bryce. But if Bryce gets a little help and turns into a franchise QB, you'll celebrate him figuring it out. Right?
  3. I'm thinking if the Texans won tonight, you would have been all over CJs sack. And crapping on Bryce Young with comparisons. CJ just experienced what Bryce does every week. Oline couldn't hold up consistently and receivers couldn't get consistent separation. The texans don't have a bad oline. They just ran into the best defense and couldn't make plays against them.
  4. Stop arguing with these guys. They love CJ and hate Bryce. Doesn't matter what you say, it'll be debated and/or labeled as cope. No QB can get in a rhythm if they can't trust their oline to protect them or any of their receivers to get open. But they'll always end with the caveat that they eally want Bryce to improve and will cheer for him when he does. Yet they crap on the gut every chance they get. CYA.
  5. Yeah but pretty sure he averaged at least 2.5s per drop back. I'm told that's always enough time to make a play. No matter if your receivers are open or not
  6. MacDonald has the Shanahan offense figured out. Didn't they boat race the 49ers earlier too?
  7. Do they do that to her on a regular basis?!!! That ish is just immoral!
  8. Bro did he just powerbomb an old lady through a table?!!
  9. Still have his black 43 jersey. I wear it to games when the Panthers play Washington at Fedex - that and my electric blue 89. Always get questions about those. Smitty is better known in this area as a Raven. The 1 and 90 are for general wear to sports bars. Everybody knows them.
  10. Niners are doing it right. They have a former smart but hard hitting safety as their GM, brought in a tough and innovative run first offensive HC, keep bringing in smart tough hard hitting players on both sides of the ball. They are the epitome of a nerdy tough guy identity - top to bottom, front office, coaching and players alike. They know who they are and bring in guys that fit. If there is a team to emulate, it's them. Bring in a GM with similar preferences/background, and put him with Slowik. I don't care if Slowik is the HC or the OC, but get him here and overpay to do it.
  11. I said the same thing. People thinking Dalton would have made it through a full season aren't being realistic. He took a beating in that Seattle game.
  12. I think Stroud is a special talent. Point blank. No if, ands or buts. In hindsight, should have been the pick. Now that's out of the way. Houston's weapons are playing at a very high level. They are constantly open and constantly have high yards after the catch. A lot of those are very short routes and screens. That isn't because the QB delivered a catchable ball in stride. That's just an explosive player making a play. And maybe those guys weren't highly touted prior to the season and are overachieving. But that is due partly to the QB, partly to the offensive line holding up, and mostly (in my opinion) due to scheme and playcalling.
  13. I actually agree. Houston is a really good team. Lamar is a wild card though, but he's not the same guy in the playoffs.
  14. Where would carolina have been picking if they had left Rhule in place? A new coaching staff makes a huge difference. Should have left Rhule in place if you were gonna trade up to #1. Opposite of smart.
  15. Slowik is the choice. Tepper can't overthink this ish. He's showing you right now. Of course you're gonna be in a bidding war after tonight, but you do what you have to do.
  16. They really did. Didn't they do something similar to Cam? The stolen laptop thing...
  17. Houston shouldn't let Slowik leave. Heck I'd pay him HC money before letting him walk out the door.
  18. Here we go again. Dalton is a friggin 3 time pro bowler. Not some career journeyman. He's seen way more than a rookie QB. On a bad team, an experienced vet should have more success. Dalton took a beating that game too. He just has more NFL knowledge after 13 seasons, than a rookie.
  19. This is very telling. You just don't know. Do you think that any NFL DB can outrun any NFL QBs arm? I played DB in college. The only time you cheat is if you don't respect the receiver's ability to separate. You ain't ever outrunning a throw. Ever. You let a receiver break your cushion because the receiver can't beat you. Not the throw. Geez.
  20. This is where you're mistaken. There are few if any "Bryce Guys" here. I think there are just guys that acknowledge this team wasn't set up for any QB to succeed. Bryce isn't better than CJ, but that doesn't mean he can't be a good QB for the Panthers.
  21. Right. They hit on the playcaller/play designer. That changes absolutely everything. Everything. I really don't want to get into a Stroud vs Young debate. It's futile. The situations are too different to make definitive statements either way. The Panthers season is over. Time to move on to next season for them and the playoffs for the NFL. But... if you can't see the difference in playcalling, protection, receiver separation and YAC, then you're not trying. Even casual fans can see that.
  22. Don't care who's playing QB. He needs to be the guy.
