  1. Much appreciated! Been out of the loop. Labor Day. Family. Vacation.
  2. Wait when did we sign a friggin Army linebacker?! And $3M a year for a special teamer Cadet? Please tell me I'm wrong!
  3. ... stand there right next to each other.
  4. Wait didn't Tremble say he was ready? Just holding him out as a precaution?
  5. Already have the most productive TE from training camp on the PS, but you know an injured Ian Thomas is too important.
  6. Does this team hate Jordan Matthews or something? Geez! Get a pass rusher or another quick twitch WR in case Diontae goes down.
  7. I went through this entire thread and can't believe there is no mention of Navy's beat down of Bucknell. Wing T baby! Go Navy! Beat Army!
  8. Really good player in my opinion. But don't think he is a natural in the middle. Will in a 4-3 is probably the best position for him. He just doesn't play like a Mike to me. Luke was the opposite. He was born to play the middle of the field. Becomes a little more mortal on the outside. TD could play, Mike, Will, Sam even SS - at a high level. That dude was really different.
  9. More about the coaching staff and evaluation of the entire roster. If DC is the guy but BY isn't HIS guy, then move on from Bryce - and vice versa. Contrary to popular belief, it's easier to find a QB you can win with than a HC/OC/DC combination. The right coach will make the QB right enough. Now if you're looking for a Mahomes or a Lamar Jackson (the QB version)... well good luck with that.
  10. This is a big move! On another note... imagine the range of emotions this man has gone through over the past 2 days? Geez!
  11. I don't know. I generally got the impression they went where he wanted them to go, but his timing was off. More attempts might help. Canales called a deep ball to DJ early in the preseason game, but Bryce didn't like what he saw and ended up completing an out to Sanders instead. Would love to see him take more shots.
  12. Wait... doesn't he normally OVERthrow deep balls, meaning a faster WR would be better for him?
  13. vision and quickness. Lateral and stop/start quickness is more important for consistency at the position.
  14. I think Raym might make it. He's the only true center on the roster and looked pretty damn good Saturday! The fact that he can consistently get the ball to the QB without any drama sets him apart from every other player currently on the roster.
  15. Either way, Jordan was the best TE over the entire preseason. Ian Thomas hasn't done anything in years, AND he's injured! So right now there's one healthy TE on the roster and he's a rookie. Even if they bring another guy in, he'll have less than 2 weeks to learn the playbook. Tremble will likely be ready, but he'll be banged up. He goes down again and they're down to a rookie TE on game day, and a new guy trying to learn the playbook on the fly.
  16. Honestly don't remember so many guys flashing open so quickly last season. Bryce had 2 or 3 open guys downfield to choose from on most plays Saturday. That was NOT the case last year.
  17. Gonna put this out there because no one is saying it... Wallace might take Shaq's spot by the end of the season. Shaq is obviously the more experienced player and that experience is his only advantage over the rookie right now. Shaq doesn't trust what he's seeing. He hesitates to fill his lane too often. Almost like he's a safety playing linebacker. I saw the same thing last season. It's like he'll see the guard block down, but hesitate to fill his lane, and end up getting lost in the trash 3 or 4 yards past the LOS. Wallace has no friggin hesitation! He reads his keys and attacks downhill with conviction.
  18. And that's the type of throw he can make that everyone else can't. He doesn't have a rocket launcher attached to his shoulder, but those odd angle throws are just as impressive to me. And it's rare to have both - insert Patrick Mahomes.
  19. Not gonna lie... I saw a couple of opportunities to go downfield and Bryce chose not to. I think he is risk averse by nature. Nothing wrong with that, as long as he does take it when he should. But like others have already stated, he's going through his progressions and makes the correct decision in this case. I think we as fans are so starved for downfield throws from Bryce, that we just want to see him sling it sometimes. Completely understand.
  20. Yeah. He wasn't a good person, but he ain't Rae. Rae was a terrible person.
