  1. Still have 8 picks to go. Assuming they don't trade up.
  2. I think most franchise QBs have input into guys they like at receiver. And they probably should. That chemistry is important.
  3. Still a big lumbering receiver to me. Need quick twitch guys a la Diontae Johnson, sans the crazy.
  4. His size wasn't the problem. Has all the athleticism in the world. Just not a good tackler and doesn't take pride in setting the edge. Shemar Stewart is a closer comp imo.
  5. HC and OC are wide receiver coaches. They'll get him to his potential. But we still need a speed receiver. We have to have the biggest lumbering WR corps in the league.
  6. Ickey better get his ish together now. Damm!
  7. Wow! Just like Brooks last year. That worked out sooo well.
  8. How they double up on commercials for us like that? Dirty S O Bs!
  9. Who's showing highlights? NFL Network isn't. Don't think ESPN is either.
  10. Who's showing highlights? NFL Network isn't. Don't think ESPN is either.
  11. $30M+ a year for a situational pass rusher? Damm!
  12. If they actually do draft Graham, I hope the expectation isn't that he'll come in and dominate day 1. It'll likely to 2-3 seasons to see anything close to his final version. He might make some splash plays here and there, but he wouldn't likely dominate as a rookie. Derrick Brown dominated in the SEC and it took him until his 3rd season to look anything remotely like the player they thought they were getting.
  13. Well... I mean, they are the only SEC team in the Carolinas. And yes, I am from Columbia so 100% biased.
  14. I don't know man. Kyle Hamilton is definitely a Box Safety, and he can completely disrupt offenses. He'll reset the market when his rookie contract is up. If Moehrig could play that role, he'll improve the defense overall. Agree, I don't think he's as good in coverage. So will definitely need to account for that in playcall and personnel additions - ball hawk. Box safeties are more important than deep guys in my opinion though. They are involved in more plays. Moehrig had over 100 tackles last season. But would love to have a guy that can patrol deep and make you pay for trying to force passes into tight coverage. We didn't have that last season. Just mediocre box types that were bad tacklers and slow at play recognition - thus not filling their gaps and leaving huge running lanes. Maybe they overpaid. But if he can get 100+ tackles, 3+ sacks, 2+ INTs, and 6+ TFLs, then that'll be cap well spent. Particularly for the plays in the backfield that gets offenses off schedule.
  15. I disagree with some of your sentiments toward Moehrig. I think he's exactly what this team needed. A leader in the backfield that can tackle and fill his gap. The Panthers have to stop the run going forward. Moehrig is huge in that area. He's also a good blitzing Safety. More of a Kyle Hamilton lite. Agreed that a ball hawking FS is a BIG need too. I think that guy can be found in the later rounds in Mukuba and Malachi Moore. Smaller but more cover guys than anything else.
