  1. He said "during that time" Jordan was the best by a huge margin. As in, during the time he was playing and in his prime, and guys like Dr. J, Baylor, Kareem, and Russell were retired, and Bird and Magic were on the decline or retiring themselves. Other than a few guys like Barkley, Malone, etc. (who still weren't all that close IMO, but each had their moments) who would you even say was close to Jordan? In Jordan's era he WAS the best by quite a damn good margin. Even the other best players at that time were obviously a tier below MJ. Hell, you could've made a case for him being MVP damn near every year, but voter's fatigue prohibited that.
  2. I know all that. What I'm saying is if the Colts and Seahawks drag out this thing and Cam truly wants them to set the market first then we're sitting in a pretty weird situation. Cam's 5th year option will be up, Colt's have the option to pick up Luck's 5th year, and who knows what the Seahawks do? The way I interpreted the source's statement is Cam pretty much wants to be the highest paid player in the league. I'm just hoping it doesn't get messy.
  3. So basically... Cam wants to be the highest paid player in the league. Because Luck is definitely going to be the highest paid player once he inks his deal. There's still a year left on Luck and Wilson's deals though. They might not get done until the next offseason. Jeeze. So Cam wants to potentially play out his 5th year option, where we're either forced to franchise him next season or have a team like the Raiders throw a billion dollar contract at him. Meh.
  4. All those fuging shots you missed this quarter and you make a bullshit pointless 3 at the end
  5. Gonna have to have another name change after tonight The Charlotte Mo Williams
  6. Lol now they're calling Zeller soft and a flopper Man we're lucky to have Dell and Martin
  7. "Oh he's just having fun" "That's just physical basketball" "Zeller was kicking him" They were up in arms about the technical earlier too until they realized it was on Big Al
  8. Lol listening to these Oklahoma commentators is hilarious. They're so damned biased it's ridiculous
  9. Mo is the fuging man. He hit that last 3 closer from the half court mark than he did the 3 point line. I think we finally have a 3 point shooter.
  10. Damn, Mo already got 7 assists? 8 points and 7 assists in 12 minutes.
  11. No Star/Short/Benwikere, Munnerlyn was still considered a liability, Nakamura/Fua/etc., it was a foregone conclusion that Gamble and Anderson were gone that offseason, Norman and Thomas were considered our #1 and #2 CBs... and that was before Norman looked anywhere near as good as he did this season. Hardy is a huge loss, but overall I'd take this D over what we had going into the offseason that year. DT alone was such a huge liability that year that we're extremely lucky we fixed it as well and quick as we did.
  12. Speaking of Wilson's offensive supporting cast, he has what is probably one of the most underrated offensive supporting casts I've seen... maybe ever. A solid offensive line that's great at run-blocking, and average (at worst) in pass protection. Wilson helps hide the pass protection flaws at times, but they also do an equal job in reciprocating that effort by providing good enough protection on a consistent basis. Lynch has been the best RB in the league over the past 3 years. Two solid pass-catching TEs in Willson and Miller. And by far the most underrated WR corps in the league because they're not big time names, and none were high draft picks. Those guys constantly make the craziest clutch plays, get wide open, miraculous circus catches, they somehow consistently bring in the 50/50 jump balls and catching in traffic while also running the scramble drill and coming back to the ball to perfection. Harvin (granted he didn't play much, but he made quite an impact when he did) and Tate were straight up playmakers while they were there too. Tate was a #1 talent putting up #2 numbers while in Seattle. Baldwin is pretty similar IMO. Wilson is a good QB no doubt, but he has a lot more around him aside from a defense, despite what Wilson fanboys and the media say. Just watch some Seattle games and see for yourself.
  13. Those usually make for the best nicknames. It's not like it's anything derogatory or making fun of him. I also think that whole "he doesn't like being called Philly" thing is a tad overblown. Prefers Corey? Sure. But t his friggin' twitter handle is phillybrown10, it's the name he came out as in the draft, and all his teammates call him that. I'm calling him Philly.
