The chosen one is returning to the NFL
Frank Hollywood replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Something about The Golden Calf of Bristol really bring out the stupid in NFL fans. They come out of the woodwork any time his name is mentioned to defend his honor. Is it the Christian thing? Is it an underdog thing? I don't get it. The man is absolute GARBAGE at his position and had a short lived success until teams figured him out in a few short games. Remember he couldn't even beat out the backup of MARK FRIGGING SANCHEZ.... -

Now only if they had to pay him out of the salary cap.... -
My favorite WR's options after the 1st round..
Frank Hollywood replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
If you truly believe that DGB isn't on our board whatsoever, on any round, then wish for him to be gone before we pick. This would slide one more WR down to us (strong most likely) and would also ensure a team like the Saints (31st pick) or Pats don't get him) -
You can follow my greatness at @Sooslow84. I usually charge my followers for each tweet of mine they get to read.
-
I dunno...the Pats would give up the 32nd pick for whatever the Browns pick is next year which could easily be a top 10 pick. This whole mock draft is rediculous TBH
-
I don't mind this. Too many people are saying he isn't good. He doesn't have to be good, he has to be better than the worst tackle on the roster. If he is, great, you improved your depth. If he isn't, he has zero guaranteed money and you've lost nothing.

Maine's 2015 Mock Draft (Comp. Picks Included)
Frank Hollywood replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm still not completely sold on perriman at pick 25 but I'll watch more tape. Beast draft overall though. -
I thought this offseason would put to rest the argument that running backs are "a dime a dozen". Murray, Lynch, McCoy....they all got paid. Elite RB's can be game changers and Gurley has that potential.

If we somehow sign him and pick up a receiver in the first and one in the mid rounds such as Jaelen Strong and Justin Hardy I would feel great about our receiver situation.

Raiders in discussions with Greg Hardy
Frank Hollywood replied to Kevin Greene's topic in Carolina Panthers
I always thought Hardy was gone but if the market for him is getting smaller and the price is dropping, why not scoop him up on a 2 year 6 mil a year type deal? If it gets that low of course. If he stays out of trouble youd have the option to re-sign him or CJ which is a bonus. -
Yep. Still applies.
-
That wasn't your argument. You asked if he could start in a pinch or fill in for our #1. Nearly every team in the league is carrying someone of that nature at any given position.
-
Then 32 teams in the league currently carry dead weight...
-
This. Special teams was poor in every aspect last year.
-
Can he not play any other positions on special teams? I'm asking because I don't recall. I like the thought of strong and hardy though.
-
So then don't have him as a returner. I question the former special teams coach as it seemed NO ONE they could put back there could even field the damn ball. Made no sense to me.
-
He had some clutch moments for us as a receiver. I'm glad he's getting a shot in camp but I'm totally ok if he's replaced.....because that's the attitude you should have with a bottom of the roster receiver.
-
No one would trade for him and that contract. Many teams would take him on if the price was right as a backup. I bet he does well too.

CB Teddy Williams Signs With Panthers
Frank Hollywood replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why? Serious question. It seems like such a bullshit position you could get someone else on the team to do and save a roster spot. -
NFL Source: Saints having a complete fire sale
Frank Hollywood replied to RelaxImaPro's topic in Carolina Panthers
Meh... I just wanted you to say the cap was a big part of it. Word is Jimmy wasn't happy after the WR tender. You would think they would try to make him happy instead of getting rid of him. Losing him is going to hurt as he is a top 3 TE in my opinion and still young. I have no idea what your front office is doing. -

Why did they have to trade them? Come on....say it. You can do it.
