I try to do a simulating mock draft with only players from Carolinas (PFN simulator). I trade down with our 8th pick to the 13th pick of Green Bay Packers and I acquiered their 2024 1st round. Packers select Anthony Richardson. 1.13. DT Bryan BRESEE (Clemson) We need a strong man alongside Derick Brown and if Bresee is the same before his injury, we have a sort of Suh in our interior defensive line. 2.38 WR Josh Downs (North Carolina) 2.59 WR A.T. Perry (Wake Forest) I missed Hendon Hooker for just one pick, but we are going to make a more competitive WR corps alongside DJM. Downs is speed and very productive, Perry is a nice red zone target with great physic. 3.90 EDGE Nick HAMPTON (Appalachian State) We need pass rush but Hampton is probably better in edge rusher in a 3-4 formation. But the kid have potential and he can play like Justin Houston in Detroit an hybrid LB/DE depends of the situation. 4.107 OG Loic NGASSAM NYA (Wake Forest) 4.125 TE Davis ALLEN (Clemson) The french native with camerouneese origin it's a good addition to our depth chart in the OL. Not easy to find a good TE in our states this year but we need desesperatly to refound our TE corps. 5.138 CB Steven GILMORE (Marshall) The bro of Stephon to compete for a big role in our secondary. 7.203 RB Keaton MITCHELL (East Carolina) 7.226 QB Sam HARTMAN (Wake Forest) I don't know why we have 2 7th round but we can have this guys in the undrafted FA. Mitchell is very speedy (40yds in 4.3) and can be a scat back in NFL. Sam Hartman why not ? And he have is favorite target with Perry. If Prudy can be good in NFL Sam Hartman can be too. And sorry for my english.

Carolina Panthers 2023 Mock Draft 7 rounds (11/16) based on profootballnetwork simulator. Young are going to Houston with the 1st overall pick and Stroud to Las Vegas. So... 1st round: With the third pick, The Carolina Panthers select EDGE Will Anderson from Alabama. I select the BPA after the 2 best QB are gone. He will be form a great duo with Burns and make some crazy pressure to the QB in this passing league. 2nd round: I add some talent in offense with the great WR Josh Downs from North Carolina. With the San Francisco pick, I fill a big need with the selection of ILB Jack Campbell from Iowa. 3rd round: I add depth chart with OL Cody Mauch from North Dakota State. He is from a small U but nice talent, it's a OT in college but projected OG in NFL (like Brady Christensen). A smooth athlete with terrific mobility and footwork. He will be a steal like Cole Strange. 4th round: it's time to find a RB to complete Donta Foreman. I selected RB Blake Corum from Michigan thanks to is incredible season for the Wolverines. We are back in the 4th and Carolina Panthers select QB Grayson McCall from Coastal Carolina, a local guy. I assume with Young and Stroud gone before us, we are going to a new lottery QB starting. I want a competition during training camp between PJ, Corral and McCall. I don't know if GMC is the future, but he can be a sort of Taysom Hill I think. We need a offensive minded OC to use him. 5th round: CB Riley Moss from Iowa. This is the second man from the Hawkeys defense. I'm very intrigued by him with nice stats and nice combine, especially in 20 yards shuttle. 7th round: I want competition for the starting PK competition next year with Zane Gonzalez back to a hard injury. PK Harrisson Mevis from Missouri have a great leg and college background. To finish our mock draft, I select DT Zacch Pickens from South Carolina and to add some weight in the DLine.

Imagine we pick #6 in the next draft, Young and Stroud are gone before us. Will Anderson, Myles Murphy and Jalen Carter too. Who do you want ? - We need a QB should try Levis, Hooker or Leivs too high ? - BPA after this 5 guys but who is it now ? Skoronski ? - Find a number #1 target for our next QB coming in 2024 ? Addison, Smith-Njigba, Johnston ? - The best Tight End in this class the kid from ND Michael Mayer ? - Another CB in the top 10 just for laugh ?
-
Dont forget if Foreman is So good is due to our great Oline. I want to keep our 5 guys in this great OL. After, we can resign Foreman and draft a catching running back to go with Foreman in the 4th-5th round.

I want Shipley next year.

Are we a better, equal or worse situation than the colts?

No, in 2024. -
Josh Downs the best WR in college ?
Chris Smitty replied to Chris Smitty's topic in Carolina Panthers
Marvin Harrison is eligible in 2024. But I'm Ok, I think Maye or Williams will be better than Stroud/Young/Levis/Hooker/Richardson/anyone in this QB 23' class. -
2021: 101 rec, 1335 yards, 8 TD 2022: 48 rec, 527 yards, 7 TD Yesterday @Virginia: 15 rec, 166 yards, 1 TD. Added 57 yards on 2 punt returns. Just one week after Downs had 11 catches for 102 yards and 2 TD in UNC's win over Pittsburgh. 5'10" 175 lbs Basketball and triple jump back ground. high-football-IQ. He is speed, he clocked in at 4.47s 40 and jumped 42-inch vertical as a high school junior. I hope Panthers can select him in the 2nd round but his stock is more a late 1st round and maybe continue to up in next weeks. Probably not the first receiver to be call in the draft, but maybe the best ?

+$80 for parking seriously ? I only watch pre-season game at stadium and the price is $20/$30 the seat and parking $10/20.

I'm agree too. If we think Stroud, Levis, Young is not our guy, pass on him. We have other option next year for our QB. We can draft a guy in the second, we can sign Minshew during the offseason and wait & see. This QB Class Draft is deep and good but probably no franchise QB like Mahomes/Allen/Rodgers/Herbert/Burrow/Lamar etc. Next year I have more confidence in Caleb Williams, Drake Maye or Quinn Ewers. But in 18 months, many things can change.
-
If we dont pick a QB next draft, I'm very high in Drake Maye. He seems very different to Howell or Trubisky.
-
Nobody says select McCall with our 1st round. But if we pass on Stroud/Young/Levis or we are not in position to select one, we can go for another guy in 1st (Will Anderson, Jalen Carter, Myles Murphy, I love so much Peter Skoronski but OT is not a need for Panthers) and with our second round or SF second round, we can draft a QB like McCall. So: 1st: Defensive BPA: Anderson, Carter or Murphy 2nd: a go-to-guy like Jalen Hyatt ou Mark Downs 2nd SF: McCall and strong competition during training camp between Corral, McCall and PJ.
-
Wait for Browers netx year for a TE. Sign a veteran this offseason like Jeremy Schockey in 2011.
-
I thin we have more urgent position to fill before a center.
-
Why a center if Boze resign with us ?
-
1st: QB: C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young or Will Levis, depends who is our guy 2nd.a: WR: I'm very high on Josh Downs, Jalen Hyatt: a solid second option to pair with DJM for our new young QB and HC. 2nd b: EDGE: time to add defense and pass rushing: Go with Andre Carter II from Army, a sack machine who can play Sam. 3rd: MLB: Jack Campbell from Iowa 4th: RB: I like Blake Corum 5th: DB depth: I'm fan of Riley Moses, from Iowa who can play CB and Safety (probably Safety in NFL). Maybe it's to high so I trade down to have two picks in the 6th and 7th to pick Riley Moses and a new PK (Jake Moody or Harrison Mevis).

For sure, he did a great job for the front office yesterday.
-
Did you see him on the plane with the team yesterday? Or he takes a plane for La Habana ?
-
Will Levis hyped is over. Go on Grayson McCall bandwagon. Spectacular offense and numbers: 7,326 yards, 72 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 70.9 percent completion rate. Sun Belt Conference ? Josh Allen played in Mountain West Conference. Strong arm. Quick feet. Quiet in the pocket. Knows where the ball is supposed to go.

Wait. Brock Bowers is coming in 2024.
