There are others I would prefer, but I think he’s earned it. He went .500 with someone else’s roster/coaches. Let’s see what he can do with his own roster and a full offseason.

Malik Willis was a mid round pick and always considered raw/risky. I don’t see the similarities between drafting him and trading up for Stroud. Plus no draft pick is a guaranteed success. Teams just have to trust their evaluation process and try to get the best value possible. The most valuable position is QB.

Crosby batted one and the next play they ran a 7 step drop. It’s all coaching.

26 - 23 Offense starts off hot with the scripted plays and defense holds the browns to low scoring in the first half. Browns make a come back in the second half to tie it 23-23. Panthers offense is a little bit off but eventually pull it together for a game winning fg drive in the 4th.

Robby 53 rec on 110 targets with 7 drops. Robby dropped 11.7% of his catchable targets. Allen 106 rec on 157 targets with 9 drops. Allen dropped 7.8% I don’t even dislike Robby, but if the question is, do I think he’s worth what he’s being paid? I would say no. Walk away from him next year if he continues to struggle.

He’s a smart kid and he knows the mental aspect is the most important part of playing QB. He seems to have a strong work ethic and all the physical tools. I honestly think he’s more intelligent, a better athlete, and a better leader than Sam. Plus we need to know what we have in him before next years draft. I’m hopeful that he will win the job by end of TC

@Verge a couple questions 1. Which QB is Pittsburg targeting? If it’s Willis, and the scouting community is pretty sure that the Panthers will not be taking him, then why jump them? Or maybe their target is Pickett? 2. who do you think the Saints would be moving up for? And how likely is it that they trade up? I could see trading up for one of the tackles, or Corral. 3. Which teams could be potential trade partners for the Panthers?

I’ve said this in another thread but I live on campus at UNR. One thing about watching Strong in person is that he seemed to miss a lot of wide open guys in favor of a tight throw. He was able to make those tight throws against poor competition, but in the NFL, a lot of them are ints.

Give the Browns a late pick if they eat his contract. If the Browns wont take his contract, tell them we’ll take the contract but we want this years 3rd.

Probably not but you never know. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a QB that a team is looking to trade up for either. I think it comes down to who’s on the board, and how desperate you are to acquire additional resources. Maybe the criteria for being blown away by an offer this year, is less than what it was last year. iirc last years depth was considered weak where as this years seems to be stronger. Although we’re picking 2 spots higher so I would expect the offers to be better.

Yes. I don’t know if he’ll be there late 1st though. If we can trade down to the early teens and still grab him, that would be ideal.

I live on campus at UNR. Seeing him live I question his decision making. I think his throws into tight windows are interceptions in the NFL.

RG3 was a pro bowler his rookie year. I would take that. Injuries could derail anyone’s career.

I like Corral out of this group. I see shades of Russel Wilson plus I think you can trade down and still get him.

A 1st and a starter hopefully. I don’t think we should trade him. But a first and a young starter on a rookie deal I could stomach.

I like Cousins but I don’t like the salary and I don’t like giving up anything to get him.
