  1. Nail in the coffin was Ron being a dumbass and playing an obviously hurt Cam at the end of 2016 in some meaningless games. That got the ball rolling downhill in terms of his health. Still think the franchise was salvageable before that. Either way, Ron shouldn't have outcoached by Gary fuging Kubiak in the SB. I wouldn't even care about the state of the franchise rn if we had just won that lombardi.
  2. witness the last time I had hope for this franchise. what a wild ride downhill it's been since then
  3. Ring of honor, definitely not a HOFer though
  4. https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-2021-nfl-mock-draft-1-0-zach-wilson-to-jets this is why i hate mocks like this, gives me .001% of hope
  5. Winning culture fuged us so hard. We aren't even getting lance now. Its basically Deshaun or bust.
  6. Good fallback plan in case we don't get Deshaun
  7. Zod just out of curiosity what was the game/moment when you realized Teddy ain't it
  8. There are people on this board right now who still believe the "Teddy is good enough we just need to build around him" meme.
  9. Wow I didn't realize several huddle posters got their PhDs good job everyone
  10. The thing with drafting RBs is their careers are so short that you are basically getting them in their primes day 1. Thus resigning them to long term deals after their rookie deals is almost always a bad move (CMC, Todd Gurley etc) because they are usually on the tail end of their prime. I highly doubt CMC ever has a year like 2019 ever again... and the team still sucked!! Drafting a RB in the first round makes sense if you are a contender (like how KC drafting CHE last year was a great pick) but if your team sucks then you're basically hoping for a quick rebuild.
  11. But yeah CMC is UNTRADEABLE thanks to Hurney's dumb ass. Even dumb teams like the Texans wouldn't bite.
  12. People need to move on with the idea that RB is an important position in the modern NFL. It's not. You can find productive RBs in the mid rounds these days.
  13. He is better than Teddy but do you really want to go 7-9 instead of 5-11? IMO there's no point in bringing Mitch on in anything other than a backup position.
  14. *Bears only team not to have a 4000 yard passer ever* *Bears historically anemic at QB* *Bears decline 5th year option for QB* Huddlers: Guys this QB is secretly good
  15. Bullshit. Good QBs may miss wide open receivers with pressure, but does Mahommes, Watson, etc miss in the situation that I posted? This is like saying that Dwayne Jarrett isn't a bad WR because Larry Fitzgerald dropped a pass.
  16. Trubs is an upgrade over Teddy the same way Burger King is an upgrade over McDonalds.
  17. Daily reminder that the Bears LOST YARDAGE on this play
