  1. This guaranteed winning on their (the Panthers) terms, no time on the clock after we kick a freaking chip shot FG; if you are whining about this you lack football IQ.
  2. I never really understood why we didn't take a look at him in the off-season knowing Corbett was going to be limited, and all we had was a JAG (McCray) and a rookie 4th round pick (Zavala).
  3. We also ran a Cam centric offense to offset that, we have done anything take this offense function. QB gets hit before the skill players even break open...even Cam got lit up with Byrin Bell and Nate The former DT Chandler at L, and R tackle. Some of y'all either to young to remember or practice active ignorance. Cam was 5-11 as a rookie with Smitty, Williams, Stewart, Olsen, Shockey, Kalil, Wharton etc. Yet people are surprised with what we're doing currently running an archaic offense under Reich...
  4. What part of selecting Reich in the first place was ego? Reich had several positive aspects in his corner: Winning Record as an NFL HC, with nothing but turnover at QB in IND A SB ring within the past 5-7 years as an OC with PHI Extensive Coaching / Playing experience Had the ties to put together a good staff -- Thomas Brown was lauded in the media as an up and comer, Evero was getting HC interviews, Caldwell, and also Capers as respected advisors. ---------------------------------------------------------- There was a lot to like about the Reich hire, even if you are one who preferred Wilks (myself). The hire just didn't work out, and firing a guy at 1-10 while the team shows NO signs of improvement; I can't fault him for that.
  5. So let me ask because Tua had the same narrative, weak arm, small, etc. It was consensus Bryce has a better arm, and there are plenty of field side throws on his Bama tape. The things that changed for Tua was adding WRs that get open quick. With that we also saw the deep ball to Hill vs Jackson. Name a guy that does that for us. We can't be lazy with our takes or stances.
  6. NYG - Waller, Saquan, Slayton CHI - Moore, Kmet, Mooney Our offenses can't even really come close to matching those trios, and they're not great trios.
  7. I personally felt Anthony Richardson had the most NFL upside (See Cam, Lamar, Hurts as casual projections given his skillset), I was ok with Stroud though he lacked some of the athleticism that is my preference. Bryce was my 3rd choice, the size was a hard sell for me (pretend I used a Druski gif here) However, I see a TON of people acting like Bryce is the primary issue, or the OL, or the lack of weapons...the OL and weapons have underperformed....but why is that? Chark has a pro-bowl and a 1,000 yard season to his name with Minshew in JAX Sanders just came off a 1,200 yard rushing season with PHI and to the ''PHI has a better OL'' folks, please remember that with this SAME offensive line save the injuries we had TWO running backs at / over 5 ypc -- our run game ''literally'' got better in the absence of CMC, now I don't agree with the trade per se, but we did improve running the ball. The two things ANY rookie QB needs is, first a good defense, and believe it or not ours ranks relatively high (through Week 11 - we are 7th) -- https://www.foxsports.com/articles/nfl/2023-nfl-defense-rankings-team-pass-and-rush-stats -- Let that sink in as you ponder the absences of guys like - Shaq Thompson, Justin Houston, Jaycee Horn, YGM, Von Bell, and even Xavier Woods for stints at a time each. Secondly you need a good run game, that was the ONE thing we all thought we had after Wilks was not retained with our OL returning...instead Reich scraps the power run / PA game in favor of a primarily Shotgun based approach where we routinely leave our OL that is best suited for a run first approach (as CURRENTLY constructed) and ask them to pass pro 30+ times a game. We all saw the ground success (under center down hill) vs DAL and even just this Sunday the 22 yard PA pass to start the game. A coaches job is to maximize what he has, and look to build off that via FA / draft, IMO Frank tried to do what he's comfortable with versus maximizing what we have, and 1-10 is the result.
  8. Personally I wanted AR, but y'all really hating on Bryce like the weapons, and OL are doing ANYTHING. Any QB would struggle here.
  9. All these posts, and no consideration for how poor the OL has been, some of y'all weird.
  10. Goff, and Lawrence required new coaches bc they sucked, Frank sucks.
  11. Zavala coming off the neck, and Mays hasn't been much better, I dunno why they didn't go after Norwell after he was released, can't be any worse than these guys we've trotted out there.
  12. Bro, you can't look good with this OL and receiving Corp. No one could, personnel matters and ours is straight ass.
  13. And then he also gave him credit as well for a pass pro rep late vs the blitz that led to the Chuba catch and run that got us down to the 30, let's keep it a buck.
  14. This, I stay relatively on top of things and I've seen nothing about this nor in the press conferences yesterday (Reich) today (Brown).
  15. This, people keep shitting on Miles, and he's deserved ''some'' of it, but our OL is UNDER-PERFORMING!
  16. To some degree we have to also hold the OL, and IMO some of the early play-calling as reasons for ''some'' of his struggles. It's clear the lack in talent here on the OL (primarily injured starters) / scheme hurts Miles, considering the OL, and the Read-Option aspect to take the 11th defender out of run plays there is much less room to run in this offense. We are worse at running ''in general'' Chuba IMO is just a better inside runner than Miles so he's still able to get pieces here and there.
  17. Don't steal their hyperbole, people want to riot. It's more provocative to say WE GAVE UP TWO 1sts, when in fact by all accounts its WAY better than the 49ers deal. They get a pass because their team as a whole is excellent, and they have a top 3 offensive mind as the HC and play-caller.
  18. I remember all of the Dj Moore can't run routes threads back when he was a rookie... Some of y'all gotta chill, he's a 2nd round WR, this not a Jefferson or Chase selection. And if you wanna compare him to his physical comp in Aj Brown...it still takes time, Aj was traded right before his 4th year if memory serves, and most couldn't name him prior to hhis time in Philly.
  19. This, people value pics a bit too much, once you're outside that top 15ish, the odds go down. If you're gonna trade, trade for LEGIT guys, and not fillers. And don't trade your best players for pics hoping to replace that All Pro talent when you could've just kept them. We need to ADD talent not jettison it. Hit FA, and I'd consider trading back at the top of Rd 2, to add a couple more middle round picks to address depth.
  20. Until you look at the teams that can actually move the ball...Hurts, Tua, even Allen were all "in question" until AJ Brown, Tyreek Hill, and Steffon Diggs were traded for. Look at how PHI got where they are, almost all trades and trade backs (Carter) . Standing pat, hoping something falls isn't the way, there has to be some aggressiveness. It's clear we need a WR. How we get on remains to be seen. And no DJ Moore is not in those guys category mentioned above. However one of his talent would likely be enough so long as they continue to invest in the offense as a whole.
  21. Normally, I wouldn't take this strong of a stance, BUT after hearing his press conference today, holy poo it's hard not to have a sentiment similar to this considering the limited offensive production to date... Why hire a guy you don't ''TRUST'' or ''HAVE TO GET USED TO'' of ''HAVE TO BE READY TO GIVE UP PLAY-CALLING'' to call plays day 1....
  22. It always happens after seasons are over (in-season), give it til' the bye.
  23. This is a trade with the future in mind IMO if they do it. Since they lack picks, and may not recruit well in FA this would be a solid move. Because say its a 3rd, you're not getting a WR equal to Jeudy there. This way you have a proven guy young enough to grow with Bryce, and he's still on a rookie deal with a 5th yr opt avail so the cost is also controlled.
  24. That's who he is, they work for the Charlotte ESPN affiliate used 99.9 iirc.
