  1. #34 I believe is Sean Chandler
  2. I don’t think he'd clear that waiver, thats why I referenced IR. We tried that with Tyler Gaffney and NE scooped him up. Pride has promise, and the athleticism, just needs time to develop.
  3. For one I would like to know what happened, I hope there are answers today. He was pretty bad yesterday, but he also held his own last season. I wouldn't put him in the cut bucket just yet, if I had to guess based off the optics of the injury, he's placed on IR, and we see what he has next year if recovered.
  4. I wouldn't call it lucky, if he doesn't keep working, and maintaining his balance this is a stuffed run; aside from that Zylstra staying engaged. This is an example of a player making something out of nothing.
  5. This is why I... 1) Don't understand the Fletcher pick in the 6th with a guy like Jamie Newman available, he's younger, athletic and has arm talent, Grier is 26 I think at this point he is what he is. 2) Passing on Mond when we were wheeling and dealing all of those picks day 2, we had the ammunition to take a mid round QB. 3) Ultimately passing on Fields, still not okay with that, when it happened and still to this day. _________________________________________ Overall I like our draft class, so I won't complain but so much, BUT I think we made some mistakes as well, time will tell.
  6. See Lamar, and Kyle, its not about 4.4, its the athletic ability that leads to extended plays behind a "meh" OL. They took the "safe" approach but you can't hit a homerun if you don't swing the bat. We bunted at no. 8.
  7. I'm on the ''should have drafted Fields'' train, I said this leading up to and after the draft. I will support the QB I have. and Horn's talent likely can't be denied. But an elite athletically gifted QB, plus the rookie QB salary, plus not giving Sam 18.8M in 2022 to have even more cap to retain our best is the smart move to me long-term. We are a rebuilding team, and when you do that, you use new bricks, not recycled ones. I think they simply got a guy they are comfortable with, if they turn him around and the team is 7-9 wins they all look like genius' but if this flakes, IMO Rhule is on a short least as this will be two years in a row that '' you got your guy'' and now he's gone. Sam has 3 years of NFL experience, to me this is a put up or shut up year, you'd have more leniency with a rookie, even if he sat behind Sam, that's what killed it for me, KC had a perennial playoff team, and still took a QB. We're not GB with Rodgers, we have ZERO QB options behind Sam, and if he flakes, or is injured we're in the same boat in 2022. Bad planning IMO.
  8. I think they've moved off of Okung unless an injury happens, feel like a saw a tweet that basically alluded to the fact he didn't feel the offers he was getting were respectable. IMO, I can't see us going past Week 4 without looking at something in regard to LT -- vet cuts, FA signing, etc. Cam Erving is also not the most dependable when it comes to health. I'm curious to see the solution this year.
  9. Listed at 5'11 / 6' based on where you look, but weighs 210 lbs...That's RB weight which is why he's so good through contact after the catch.
  10. I dunno, feels like most talking heads have been giving him the benefit of the doubt coming off that Jets stint and the turn-around Tannehill saw once he went to a more talented / better coached roster. DJ & Robby are 1K + receivers, CMC is a 1K + runner / receiver -- there's only a handful of teams with a better top 3. If the combination of Arnold / Thomas / Tremble can give us 800 yards collectively our offense will be looking like one of the best IF Darnold's decision making in NY was an aberration based on trying to do too much too often / bad personnel / coaching.
  11. Fox is Smaller than Yetur by 2 inches in height, and 5lbs in weight.
  12. If you're asking about fan fest, I can't say it looked like ''that'' many people, but it was a good turn out I'd say.
  13. No he has not, friend lawyer of the owner was leading the charge on this when he originally wanted to opt out. Last I heard a few of these women didn't want to go public which could lead to a dismissal. Its also still a civil matter versus criminal. So until proven guilty, I'd be ok adding a bona-fide star QB versus hoping we resurrect Sam. I personally wanted Fields.
  14. What everyone forgets about Rhule and it's likely because he came from Baylor...he's a DEFENSIVE MINDED COACH, same as Rivera. The difference is he's open to modern data / analytics over Ron, and let's call it ''traditional gut instincts''. It's why the entire FIRST draft class, and the #1 pick for us at 8 was ALL DEFENSIVE players. Rhule wants to be able to STOP other teams, not just score with them. I've said this a few times, even after the Darnold trade, I'd have taken Fields, QB is FAR TOO IMPORTANT not to take the swings when they are available. WR depth / quality can be found on day 2, and 3, and money saved on a rookie deal at QB allows cap to sign a high end DB if you elect not to draft one. QB / Pass Pro / Pass Rush -- are the most important things in that order this day and age.
  15. I think I'd have to go with: Moton / Elflein / Paradis / Miller / Christensen I like Erving more as a back up, but they paid him starter money so it's his job to lose, Moore is a UDFA, let him be G/ C depth. As poorly as Little played at times, he had a couple moments, as I recall some pancakes on runs / screens. Scott I also like as depth, and same for Daley. I hope to goodness we're able to bring in even slight upgrades to depth after final cuts. The line I referenced I think allows us to be more functional, I think I trust the rookie more at RT, than a journeyman in Erving, we're talking his 4th team in less than 6 years roughly. To me that's not a positive indictment on a guy.
  16. We look more like a 3-4 defense now more than then...even if we play Over / Under 4-3 alignments. DL - Brown / Jones / Fox Edge - Burns / Reddick ILB - Perryman / Shaq CB - Horn / Jackon S - Chinn / Burriss (for now) Then we'd see guys like Matos, and the others in the nickel sets, and in some of the even fronts as well, I expect a lot of mixed fronts, not much we can't do alignment wise.
  17. I like Robbie but he's 29 and in the last year of his 2yr / 20M deal and costs 12M versus the cap if memory serves this season. I think we could've come out this situation a bit better, move Robbie for a pick, FT Moton, and extend Samuel. Knowing how the draft fell Marshall replaces Robbie on the perimeter, Curtis stays as a move guy that works out of the slot, and DJ is the primary. Just my opinion, I don't agree with Curtis being over-rated, he was one of the best on 3rd down. Robbie is a Rhule guy though.
  18. As most of you know by now the Moton extension freed up 10M in cap space, putting us in a pretty solid spot financially with 24M available. I think Rhule outlined last off-season that they'd like to carry at least 6-8M into the regular season to account for unforeseen circumstances, so for the sake of argument, let's say we have a functional 17M (average of 6 & 8 is 7). Names like Clinton-Dix were already in camp for try-outs, and recently Kawaan Short was cleared and recently featured in a picture with Derrick Brown and Bravvion Roy (see twitter / instagram) Knowing that DL & S aside from OL are weak points, who out of the available free agents draws the most interest from you? S - Chinn / Burris / Robinson / Clinton-Dix** DL - Brown / Jones / Roy / Nixon / Short** I don't hate those additions as depth / rotational players on 1-yr deals, which is likely any team would offer, while still having youth at those positions* Available Free Agents - https://nfltraderumors.co/top-50-2021-nfl-free-agents/ Based on this list, there's a few names that at least stand out to me: OL - Okung is better than -- Erving / Little / Scott IDL - KK Short / Jurrell Casey / Damon Harrison as another space eater Off Ball LB - KJ Wright (Fitterer ties) / Kwon Alexander / Mychal Kendricks (Fitterer ties) Edge - Justin Houston / Olivier Vernon / Ezekiel Ansah (Fitterer ties) / Bruce Irvin (Fitterer & CAR ties)
  19. He needs to be considering we passed on a top rookie QB prospect. We seem to be taking the SF approach of build the BEST possible team, and insert QBs as needed if one doesn't work out. With the notion that IF we have a complete team we can mortgage picks to move up if needed, but if Darnold aka our Garoppollo works out then ok to that as well.
