  1. We are not deep enough to talk about releasing a starting receiver. The man had a down year, y'all forgot 2020's production quick AF. He was over 1k.
  2. Ickely / Brown / Bozeman / Corbet/ Moton Let Brady be the swing tackle, Ickey, and Brown on the same side is road grade city.
  3. No way in hell Baker don't start Week 1.
  4. Give me Deonte Brown at LG, and let him and Ickey road grade, throw Tremble over there as well...Outside zone with CMC, and Hubbard with their ability to cut back inside as needed with Freeman to supplement the power game. Brady should be the immediate back up at tackle, the Erving. Daley and Elflein interior depth. Best we can do right now.
  5. You mean healthy, people tend to forget he basically pulled a Cam in 2018 and played well below 100% health. Literally playing QB with ONE arm.
  6. He did, I want to say it was 60 MPH -- https://brownswire.usatoday.com/2018/03/08/josh-allen-baker-mayfield-top-qb-velocity-during-combine-throwing-session/ Dan Shonka Article -- https://www.ourlads.com/story/default/Quarterback-Ball-Velocity-at-2018-NFL-Combine/10241/dh/ Dan Shonka from Ourlads published the velocity numbers for all the quarterbacks throwing at the combine. Throws to both the left and the right are listed. Allen and Mayfield were the only QBs to hit 60 MPH. It’s not a surprise to see Allen at the top with 62 MPH. His arm strength is his greatest attribute. Mayfield throwing so hard will stun many critics who label his arm weak or inadequate.
  7. It's really sad how MANY shows / media members have this take and push this narrative, it's usually where I tune out anything they have to say as well. People act like we still have Joe Brady, or Matt Rhules roommate as the OC and the offense hasn't changed COMPLETELY. Now if someone had the take that Darnold has a ''headstart'' with the NEW OFFENSE under McAdoo I could at least respect that. But acting like Darnold KNOWS the new offense in comparison to Mayfield is a lazy / uneducated take, and it sucks because no one in the media / ESPN / NFLN etc. even care enough to do that much work. It's just been broad sweeping ''GENERAL'' takes, and any casual fan would also become misinformed. The other thing that is crazy and I've even seen this from Browns fans, they act like he didn't helpw turn that organization around on the field -- they were 1-31 before drafting baker. He went 29/30 in his starts. I'm not a Baker fan, or apologist but it's common sense to see he had a huge impact on that team. People act like OBJ / Landry were some kind of set the world on fire duo, OBJ was coming off an injury, and Landry is a volume receiver underneath primarily. Most people can't even name the other WR's they had (Perryman, Higgins, Peoples-Jones, and Callaway) none are marquee. OBJ / Landry are more names than anything to me, not saying they aren't good, but Moore at this point has proven to be better than OBJ, and I'd take Robbie over Landry when he's the 2019 / 2020 version (1900+ receiving those two years). People also give the defense a ton of praise, but they were ranked off the top of my head in the 20s the year they went to the playoffs. Baker is a clear upgrade to Sam, that simple.
  8. THE Dan Arnold, omg what were we thinking! Perryman is where they screwed up.
  9. Saints manage, seems we're taking a similar approach with the cap as are others. There is rollover, salary cap increases, and the never ending ability to move money down the road. I'm not too concerned about cap space, it's malleable.
  10. What do you mean emphasize ''If'' with Ioannidis in relation to his health? https://www.nfl.com/players/matthew-ioannidis/stats/career He's played in 14 or more games 4 out of his 6 years, and 10 as a rookie. He had the injury TWO YEARS ago in 2020 where he played 3 games. In 2019, and most recently in 2021 he played 16 games each. His health hasn't been a ''?'' during his career.
  11. So Robbie in 19, and 20 had almost 2000 receiving yards combined if not just over that (from memory). Yet with a bad QB, and OL you want to hold a down season strictly against him... Some of y'all weird af.
  12. CLE had a really good OL, and one of the best backfields in the league (Chubb / Hunt) I will say their receiver situation was never great, OBJ was hard to read his time there from a casual perspective, Landry to me was never ''special'' just a high volume guy underneath with some shots deep to compliment, then after that some ''forgettable'' guys or at the very least not household names (Peoples-Jones / Higgins). I think we have a better set of receivers, and we have untapped potential at TE that we saw a flash of with Ian when Olsen went down in 2018. Our OL is improved and should be at least average, and our division overall is not as strong as the AFC North has been. So for now ''meh''.
  13. Have you seen the last few teams that won the SB..."under center" isn't really a thing like that anymore. Teams operate primarily from the gun, you simply need a top QB period, had nothing to do with under center.
  14. Give him the Jared Goff treatment like McVay did (In his ear with the info each and every snap). I think the reading of the defense part is over-blown a little if communication is live until I believe 15 secs on the play-clock. Likely not available with Brady given he literally had ''0'' OC experience, and not defending Rhule, but in an interview a while back I don't think he wanted Brady, but it was a decision that was funneled from up top, they wanted a ''slam dunk'' hire that off-season and Brady was the hottest name at the time. I still don't think his compensation was ever made public.
  15. This was the same thing I took away from this portion, it was clear he wasn't trying to throw Brady under the bus and be a classy individual. But he seemed happy about the items that are returning, if you haven't listened you should consider it.
  16. No, he's not, not when the depth is just Higgins, Zylstra, and Shi Smith who still has pending charges, Robbie isn't expendable until next off-season, we have NO real depth, and TMJ has to do it on Sundays first after he spent some good time in the training room his rookie year. I dunno why people act like Robbie was not legit coming here after 900 + yards with the Jets, then drop 1K with us with Teddie....he had a bad season, but I mean look at what we had at QB....and the OL didn't help the passing game either, nor the OC.
  17. Fitterer could still feel this way and want Baker, GMs want to win also, Baker gives you the one year to let Matt develop, while also being competitive as it's clear Baker is an upgrade over Sam.
  18. Likely do to a few items: 1) Possible FA interest in other vets (Dunlap) 2) Post Camp Cap in reserve 3) Carrying over ''roll-over'' cap
  19. There's roughly a 50% bust rate on QB's in the 1st round, I think that stat is lost on people, every year a player, or players are taken top 10 and flame out early. Just look at Baker's class, for all the poo he gets, Darnold, and Rosen who were consensus number one QB's on most boards are terrible, whereas Baker who was viewed as the 3rd is the better of the three. Keep in mind Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson <<< this was the same class for 2018, 5 QB's in the first round. The year before in 2017 was Watson, Mahomes (Trubisky drafted before both). Those were some good QB years overall, but history shows it's hard to get one so you have to swing when you have an opportunity, it's why I wanted Fields even IF / THOUGH we traded for Sam, as Sam was not a proven commodity, then picking up the 5th year, Matt's a freaking idiot.
  20. All in all Ickey will be the starting LT once it's all said an done.
  21. If Dunlap played 38% of the snaps in SEA (in 17 games), and Burns as a current example for us played 69% of the snaps, then a 62% snap count for YGM isn't out of the equation for the ''younger guy needs play time because he needs those reps'' crowd. (This would actually be pretty smart asking him NOT to HAVE to do too much in what is likely to be his first season as a potential FT starter) Then Haynes covers the 31% behind Burns in this example. I don't think there is a concern here. Your comment comes across as if YGM needs ALL the reps and that's not realistic, even our best pass rusher was under 70%. To keep a guy like Dunlap (33 years old) fresh that sub 40% is perfect; YGM plays downs 1-2, and can move inside on 3rd -- Burns / Ioannidis / YGM / Dunlap That is a nice passing down Nickel set with -- Haynes / Brown / Nixon, and maybe Luvu / Barno as rotational depth pieces as well.
  22. I'm still ok with the young guys going into year 2 / 3 on the interior, can't see a big improvement on the FA landscape cost vs production comparison wise.
  23. This was his deal with Seattle -- You'd have to think we're looking at a number likely smaller than that ''average amount''. 1 year - that maxes around 6M, based on incentives is what I'd be thinking. 2021-2022 CONTRACT:2 yr(s) / $13,600,000 SIGNING BONUS$7,000,000 AVERAGE SALARY$6,800,000 GTD AT SIGN:$8,500,000 TOTAL GTD:$8,500,000
