  1. Yeah, but you can’t compare Justin Fields to one of the greatest QBs of all time haha. I haven’t said one thing about Darnold? If you’re saying that I’m comparing Fields’ value the same as Darnold’s because we sent the Jets a 2nd round pick, I would tell you then and now that we overpaid for Darnold… he wasn’t worth a 2nd. I wouldn’t have even given a 4th for Darnold at the time… I would’ve drafted Fields haha. My point is if the Bears DO take a QB, Fields’ stock plummets as it pertains to the Bears. Not that Fields’ skill or whatever does, but teams shouldn’t give up a 1st for him because they then know the Bears have to get rid of him and aren’t keeping him and a rookie. If I’m giving up picks, it’s for Young. IMO, he’s special. Im taking him over any of these dudes.
  2. First, are you really comparing the situation with the Colts and Manning and Luck to the Bears and Fields? Where the hell is the Andrew Luck that the Bears could draft? Luck was a consensus generational QB coming out. He was a can’t miss prospect. That guy isn’t in this draft. Also, the Colts team was horrible and they needed to rebuild. Manning built that organization and they cut him so he could choose what team he wanted to chase a ring with. These two situations are NOTHING alike. Again, if the Bears are trading Fields for one of these rookies, why the hell would we want him? Again, none of these rookie QBs are anything like Luck/Lawrence. Fields is graded in line with all these QBs this year. Why would Chicago trade him unless they know more about him and what he’s NOT. I’m not saying I wouldn’t welcome Fields on this team, I’m just saying I’m not giving up the 9th pick and or more for him.
  3. Man, you guys saying trade the 9th pick or trade the 9th pick AND more for Fields are on something dumb. He wasn’t even originally drafted that high. I don’t understand the constant allure some fans have with other team’s throw away players. If the Bears trade Fields for an UNPROVEN rookie QB, there’s a reason for that. Fields is an elite runner, but hasn’t shown much of anything as it pertains to a passer. If the Bears draft a QB at 1, Field’s stock plummets because the Bears agent keeping both him and the number 1 pick QB. Fields could be had for a 2nd round pick. That’s the only way I’m taking Fields.
  4. You had me until the Falcons. I can’t name one of their receivers… and Pitts is looking like the biggest bust in his class lol.
  5. This would be equivalent to the Bears drafting Trubiski instead of Watson/Mahomes except worse lmao
  6. What?! You don’t get wings for the meat. You get wings for the crispy skin. If you wanted more meat, be a beta and order the boneless wings. Nothing is better than the crispy deliciousness of a flat.
  7. He looked pretty damn good against Clemson in the Sugar Bowl. Threw for 385 yards and 6 TDs. That was against a Clemson defense with Bryan Bresee, Andrew Booth, Myles Murphy, Trenton Simpson, and KJ Henry all of which either were or are more than likely going to be drafted in the 1st or 2nd round.
  8. I agree. Washington is my favorite TE in this class because AT WORST I think he’s basically an extra olineman AND he more than likely will be available with our first 2nd round pick.
  9. Depends on what you mean? There’s a good bit of TE’s that are worth 1st round picks. Kelce, Waller, Kittle, Andrews, etc Hell our very own Greg Olsen wasn’t worth a 1st round pick?
  10. Lol what? I agree with everything except you’re really comparing Hubbard to Gibbs? What makes you say that? Gibbs is 100x the pass catcher that Hubbard is. Gibbs also has another gear and twitch that is unmatched by Hubbard.
  11. I’m so tired of this stupid take. Cam was bigger than probably like 98% of QBs ever and still barely lasted 10 years. You know who’s smaller than him and had All-Pro careers/HoFers? Brees, Vick, Tarkenton, Theismann, Flutie, etc. If the only problem with Young is his size sign me the hell up. Explain to me how those guys were able to succeed in the NFL when they’re all small but Young won’t last?
  12. You can have your personal opinion of Young, but there’s plenty of teams that need QBs and one less of the elite makes the number 1 pick that much more valuable.
  13. Sounds like the Chicago Bears sent Ohio State some NIL money to drive that number 1 pick value way up.
  14. That sounds great, but we'd have to give up a haul for him. He can still get tagged by the Ravens so we'd have to trade at LEAST our 1st and one of our 2nds this year. The thought of Lamar behind this line and having Ben Johnson or Shane Steichen calling the offense makes me moist.
  15. It’s because the joke doesn’t make sense and isn’t funny.
  16. Like who? Greg Roman? Kyle Shanahan? Nick Sirani? Dan Campbell? You mean the best offensive teams in the NFL who are run first centric offenses?
  17. Some of you Panthers fans kill me. After the last 4 years I’ll take Harbaugh’s “trending down” 4 years. He’s proven his ENTIRE coaching career that he knows what he’s doing. From Stanford to 49ers to Michigan. He knows how to run a successful winning program. Like what else do you want?
  18. Why would the NCAA care if Harbaugh goes to the NFL or not?
  19. I hate Brady as much as anyone, but really? Have you ever seen an ill person before? Lol
  20. Like I said, I’m as desperate as they come for a QB, but no thank you. If we’re willing to spend a top 10 pick on a project QB like Richardson, you should go up and get Bryce Young. As much as we need a QB, I can’t think of a QB that’s gone in the top 10 that’s as much of a project as Richardson that has panned out. Hell, I MIGHT. MIGHT, use our 2nd, 2nd round pick on him, but I’m not confident about it. I don’t think teams are as desperate for a QB as they use to be either. Look at last year and the QBs. Going into the draft Willis was seen as a top 15 picks based on potential. He fell like crazy. Sure, Richardson is a hell of a lot more physically gifted, but Malik’s, actual production was through the roof in comparison.
  21. “I think he has immense skill but just not good at the position of QB.” What????? So because he’s big, strong, fast, etc we(or any team) should draft him in the top 10? Sh*t, I’m desperate for a QB as much as the next guy, but that just sounds dumb. I look at Fields and he’s not polished as a thrower, but he came out of college 20x the thrower that Richardson is. You’re talking about drafting a guy in the top 10 where our coaches have to actually teach him how to throw a football? Pass
  22. Why do people keep saying this like they KNOW he’s going to be destroyed? He’s played in the SEC against big boys and has only missed one game(this year). He injured his AC joint and missed 1 game. He proceeded to come back the following week and throw for over 450 yards. He’s stayed healthy the majority of his career. Also, in the NFL any size QB gets injured. Herbert who is a giant has dealt with injuries every year and he’s huge. Draft the man. He’s small, but he’s Elite.
  23. I’m all about BPA, but QB is the only exception. Sure, NOBODY is a sure fire thing, but you have to have a QB to win consistently in the NFL. We’ve had the chance to draft Lamar Jackson, Mahomes, Watson, and Fields. This doesn’t include the players we were in range to trade up for like an Herbert. Instead we’ve drafted the defensive stud with a less chance of a bust rate. They’ve mostly all been really good players, but it’s gotten us a combined like 23 wins or something. Look at the NFL and the teams that are constantly in the playoffs(not just winning a Super Bowl) and they Al have franchise QBs. YOU HAVE TO TAKE A CHANCE ON A QB TO WIN CONSISTENTLY! I’m not saying any of these QBs are going to be franchise QBs, but we’re Watson, Mahomes, Jackson, or Fields considered “can’t miss, sure fire Franchise QBs”?
