  1. Hell, there’s not a WR that’s going to change this team this year. Might as well try and send Burns back to Chicago for our pick back or their pick and draft Marvin Harrison Jr in the top 5 next year.
  2. I’m kind of surprised by some of these takes. I binged watched it in two days and thought it was great. The Mariotta part wasn’t the greatest, but I actually loved watching the Mahomes and Cousins parts. I like seeing the difference in one QB who basically has unbelievable God given talent versus a guy who has many flaws. Both of which work their butt off and it shows in their play. Mahomes is everything you want in a QB from athletic gifts to work ethic. Cousins wasn’t given the gifts of Mahomes or most QBs in the league, but the dude is unbelievably committed to his craft. i also loved Cousins explaining the 4th down play against the Giants. It’s easy for us fans to get mad because he threw the ball behind the line of scrimmage, but when he goes through the play and talks about how fast you have to make a decision, it makes sense. I love football in general and not just the Panthers so I thought it was a really really good watch.
  3. You can’t fix every position in a single off-season. There’s not even a CB/Edge available to sign on the same level as D-Hop. I’m all about getting Young as many weapons as possible. Especially in his first few seasons.
  4. Nice looking out. I can't figure out how to even delete the post. Wtf
  5. Oh and as for this Ohio State/USC QBs suck thing…. Clemson didn’t produce any NFL caliber QBs until the did in DW4 and TLaw. History doesn’t always matter.
  6. I mean, Mark Sanchez won 4 playoff games and had pretty the same TOTAL yards/TDs as Fields. I’d say they actually cancel each other out and then Ohio State doesn’t have a Carson Palmer. No need to debate this though as both schools haven’t produced anyone worth talking about. It’s like why debate on who’s the least awful? Lol
  7. I disagree. At least USC had Carson Palmer who actually had a pretty good career. Sure he’s not a HOFer, but he had 10+ year career in the NFL as a starter. Ohio State hasn’t produced a QB of that caliber AT ALL, in any round. Either way, it’s pretty interesting to have two power house schools like that who practically never produce any NFL talent at the QB position.
  8. So instead of reaching they pick Gibbs? Lmao
  9. I hated to give this a pie as a Clemson fan, but DJU was straight a$$.
  10. Such a bad look that he’ll slip all the way to the number one pick. Horrible decision and horrible look.
  11. Damn, I forgot about that Greek God. So wanted him to be as good as he looks. I’d love Washington, but this feels like a Cowboys/Saints pick at the end of the first. UGH
  12. I felt the same way the next year when we drafted Luke… Right after signing Beason. It’s still a running joke between my brother and I when we make a pick I don’t like I say, “I haven’t hated a pick this much since Luke!” Haha so glad I was wrong!
  13. So show me the quote or video showing where he said he “lacked the desire to be great”(your words). Don’t get on your high horse saying you take a man for his words and then put words in his mouth. You have a right to your PERCEPTION of what he said, but he didn’t say what you said he did, God bless you too!
  14. Okay, but did he look like a guy that didn’t care if love football in the playoffs this year?
  15. This. You guys read into things what you want, which isn’t out of the normal. His comment was based on him having confidence in himself as a person outside of football. That if he lost football today, he would be fine because of his faith and knows life has more to offer than just football. I guess people can spin anything negatively… lol
  16. If you’d be just a little more vague, I’d understand who you’re talking about. Please and thank you.
  17. Also, as people have previously said, it’s a lot to do with how you play and the organization and coaches you’re surrounded by. Drew Brees played in the NFL for 20 years and only missed 11 games. Bigger or smaller than Young, he’s still small in terms of NFL standards. Cam played half as many and missed over double the amount of games. From a size point, that doesn’t make since. Cam was built like a Greek God and yet he didn’t have much protection around him, our coaches didn’t put him good situations, and he ran the ball and that was a huge part of his game but also led to more injuries. Hell, you could argue that Young will be healthier than Richardson depending on where they end up and their style of play.
  18. Okay, but what does weighing in at 220-225 have to do with injuring your AC joint? I can get on board with getting hit overtime causing Bryce to break down faster, but I hitting/injuring your AC joint isn’t going to change if you weigh 185 or 220. If you get hit by say the same 295lb guy and land on your shoulder, it’s going to be injured if you’re 185 or 220…
  19. That’s kind of my point too. Why would the majority of people hold Young in the higher regard and yet we SUPPOSEDLY like Stroud better? I do feel like we like both Young and Stroud and would be fine with either in the end. Again, the Houston trade makes sense to me, but I feel we like Young a lot more than most fans want us to. You really think that we traded all the way up to 1 just to trade down to Indy at 4? We literally gave up what we did so we could have our option at QB. It “makes sense” to give up the draft capital and the only viable proven weapon on this offense to then trade down to 4? Houston, Raiders, Panthers, or Colts we’re going to trade up to number 1. We could’ve easily traded up to 3 with Arizona(and kept DJ) if one of the other teams made a deal with the Bears and guaranteed one of the big 3 QBs because Houston isn’t trading out of 2. So no, it makes absolutely no sense for us to trade up to 1 and then trade down to 4 with Indy.
  20. I don’t understand this thought process. Why would we care if Houston or Indy knows about which QB we want? Sure with Houston if we want to trade with them, but why would they want Young that bad versus getting Stroud? I’m being told by the Huddle that Stroud is a no brainer, but also being told by the Huddle that we’re talking up Young because he’s the guy Indy and Houston wants? Why would Houston/Indy want Young over Stroud when Young obviously wont last in the NFL because of his size(not my opinion but many others). Secondly, no way we trade to Indy at 4. We’d basically have to pick between Levis and Richardson and we didn’t trade all the way up to 1 to draft the 4th best QB prospect.
  21. Look at Georgia’s D-line compared to ours, basically the same over the last 3 years. Young hasn’t had injury problems but in the SEC at his size so I don’t see how anybody can say he’ll have injury issues in the NFL. Tua had injuries in college, so that makes sense.
  22. How did he survive in the SEC? Sure they’re bigger overall in the NFL, but let’s not act like he didn’t demolish Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, etc who are as BIG as NFL players.
  23. Jones played well last year, but $45mil/year? That’s crazy…. It’s crazy that Murray, Wilson, and Prescott get paid that much too, so I’m sure he’ll get it.
  24. Have you watched the tape? One of his greatest abilities is pocket awareness and his ability to be creative when the pocket/play breaks down. Bama is Bama, but their playmakers and Oline is a far cry from what it usually is. Sure, their offense is QB friendly, but he made a TON of off-script plays that were unbelievably special this year.
  25. We all have our opinions, but yes I like Young over the rest. He’s the best QB coming out from every stat/ability besides size. Obviously, I wouldn’t want to give up that much, but since I think Young is that guy, I don’t care what we give up. We have a decent roster and a ton of money in 2024. Get your guy and build around him.
