  1. can he effectively steward the offense off play action as well is he a blue collar worker who really does some nice things can he effectively execute and distribute the ball with lots of grit too
  2. it just fascinates me that they can look at the history of the league and see all these embarrassing franchises that passed on hall of fame QBs because they had some huckster “that they really feel confident about” history alone should’ve warned them off this kind of move their draft strategy actually centers around a guy who has been the quite literal worst QB in the league for three seasons it’s hard to envision the current staff being the answer
  3. if Fields becomes a star then Fitterer and rhule are gone cant say I’d be willing to risk my nfl career on whatever angle they just talked themselves into
  4. where’s the guy who guaranteed Sewell at 2
  5. you start this exact thread literally every year
  6. I don’t care about the FC, positively or negatively, I’m merely pointing out that agendas come in all shapes and sizes, and I’d say your reaction would validate that you have one also it’s been pretty well accepted, and I believe even stated by the organization that the turf is being put in because of the FC and the cost of upkeep of grass, not because of the benefit it provides them on the field (I’m guessing it’s probably hazardous to their health as well) but because of them all the same watching you shill for a billionaire because he wants to save a few thousand on lawn maintenance though is certainly a character break, thus my supposition that you have your own agenda
  7. aren’t you one of this boards bigger soccer fans? I’m inclined to believe you just like the change because it’s being made with the fc in mind.
  8. perhaps but the complaint against putting out a willfully inferior product with legitimate concerns over the health of the entity that sells the tickets because Dave needs just a few more billions is valid
  9. most of those posts seem to relate to on field health and player interests, mine included
  10. right, all the grandstanding about “heritage” and “tradition” in your OP wasn’t meant to frame this as a discussion of old school types “clinging” in opposition to enlightened forward change, forgive my projection
  11. so it’s ultimately irrelevant to success, thanks for driving the point home
  12. you think that because it’s new it’s progressive and thus are apologizing for inherently unprogressive things turf isn’t helping teams win super bowls
  13. do you hope we get a bunch of 1 o clock games too because “that’s when football is meant to be played”
  14. if the panthers give the superior england Patriots a franchise QB then they are facing down the very real possibility of being the organization people laugh at come draft time because they overvalued some post round 1 garbage this is the kind of thing the media revisits repeatedly and Kyle Brandt laughs at you for every single time So and So wins a playoff game and your really promising mid round guard washes out of the league before his second contract
  15. okay so we’re on record for who you’d rather have making decisions for your ball club, it’s nice to get a straight answer
  16. If Bill Belichick thinks a guy is a franchise QB and Matt rhule and Scott Fitterer think that same guy isn’t one then there’s a much bigger concern facing the Carolina Panthers as an organization
