Was it au-panther that like already destroyed this dumb argument you keep making in plain sight of everyone? who cares about this completely irrelevant point
-
This. watching all these insecure posters try to dig their heels in and “beg them” to “do it” is laughable because they’ll be the first ones to aw shucks and “how could we have known what he’d turn into?” as the panthers get blown out in a meaningless game at the end of the season.
-
boring? What you are talking about? this sounds like some madden edgelord commentary from you my guy were talking about employing a super bowl winning formula as it pertains to the draft and maximizing return on investment. I get that some euro futballer may not understand those mechanics, but it’s how the draft is operated here. Nobody loses a football game because of who is playing center like lol.
-
that’s a pretty rigid approach to whatever chart you’re reading there

It’s easier than ever for these kinds of traits to translate now, the windows are massive as the rules have changed. Getting a guy who can prolong how long those already large windows stay open is a nice trait to have in house.
-
I honestly don’t really care but I’m inclined to take the guy with the most raw talent in Willis. I like Pickett more than most people here though so I don’t loathe the idea.
-
no they won’t, it’ll be a weak class, it’s the ‘24 class they should wait for, now that’s a great class, draft a Center
-
you don’t bypass talent, especially QB talent, just because you’ve got a grudge against some guy in house. That’s magnified times a million if you legitimately plan to have a different coach next season.
-
Honestly the giants will probably be begging NO to take #5 picking up two additional 1’s when you already have another top 10 pick in pocket is quite the night
-
the panthers will never get the kind of quarterback prospect you want them to wait for
-
you really don’t make this kind of trade if it isn’t for a QB, that’s a lot of capital weird that they’re not worrying about having loads of draft capital to fill out the roster at more important spots
-
if we just wait nine more seasons the roster will be fully prepared to take a can’t miss Quarterback prospect, play it safe and draft hog mollies and let’s go dominate some TOP
-
somebody photoshop Malik Willis in a Saints jersey sprinting to the end zone as Generational Can’t Miss OT #37B-649r watches from the sideline in panthers threads

Predictable

yeah, despite the attempt to move the goalpost in this thread, the point here is that there are actually people in the building, presumably influential people, who are still deluded enough to believe Sam darnold can be a great nfl QB (or worse, a “really competent guy who can execute the offense.”) those people should be removed
-
Whoever believes this should be fired immediately. It should be a full house cleaning, razed down to the foundation. Tepper should call for a meeting, ask anyone willing to go to bat for Darnold to raise their hand, and anybody who does so is removed from the building on the spot. There’s no future for this organization if these people are given any kind of influence in the decision making process.

Is the Dream of one of the top 2 tackles dead?
Growl replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
who cares if it’s been a “revolving door” continuity offers no value at the OT position from season to season. The team would be just as well off buying a high level rental each year. It’s almost befuddling how people have this weird obsession with a “franchise” left tackle and then work backwards to come up with reasons why it’s appealing despite substantial holes at the most important position on the field -

no, I didn’t, in fact I was more concerned with the poor play coming from the most important position in sports i don’t care about having a “decent” OL, I don’t even care about having a DOMINANT MEAN CREW OF HOG MOLLIES. i care about maximizing value relative to need relative to cost.
