  1. I think you’ll hear Richardson talked about more as QB3 after today
  2. it’s starting to look like the Kentucky qb won’t be QB3
  3. I was peering through the fence at the last practice in Charlotte before super bowl 50, the day of the pep rally. i got rushed off pretty quick but I did see them practicing a WR reverse pass play with Joe Webb. never came up in game. probably should’ve spent more reps at practice on supporting mike remmers
  4. what are you even saying here im telling you, since you weren’t following football then, what the general consensus was from virtually every corner of the scouting world at the time ”but he’s Lebron sized!” thanks for your contribution here, no one cared.
  5. now this I’m totally open to if the need arises to maneuver up for a QB, but it’s going to take a whole lot more than the mis to late round fluff the panthers got out of the mccaffrey deal
  6. well this sounds nice and flowery until you think about it even a little bit and realize that a pretty metaphor doesn’t cover the reality of what is happening: picks after the second round cannot be reliably pegged as valuable because they are mathematically likely to be backups or depth pieces, and the caliber of a scouting department only affects those odds to a nominal extent you aren’t cognizant of what you can invest in, you can only play the odds and the reality is that the players the panthers pick are more likely than not going to be role players at best
  7. how does it make you guys feel that of all the nfl teams you could’ve been a fan of, you just had to pick the one that had to constantly deal with Coastal fans egging you on to take their players
  8. because it’s the singular thing I think you care about
  9. what you’re saying isn’t even factual, teams like the Niners and Rams aren’t trading from an abundance of draft picks, they’re drawing from their already limited stockpile because they aren’t concerned with having Lots of Picks
  10. so just to be clear you’d like to see us move a couple of 1’s
  11. no, you need good players to do that, “lots of picks,” especially the ones the panthers acquired in the mccaffrey deal are no reliable predictive indicator of success. there is a reason the successful teams in this league are persistently willing to trade away their draft picks for proven successes.
  12. okay well I imagine your standards in life and expectations for yourself are far lower than they likely should be
  13. what in the hoop jumping nonsense is this the goal isn’t to “get lots of picks” it’s to “build a super bowl caliber roster”
  14. projected as starter doesn’t meant staying power as a successful player, you’re looking at roughly a ~35% chance of a player selected in the second and third round becoming a long term player for you those aren’t bankable numbers and the idea that the “good teams” get 3-4 starters out of every draft has been an enduring myth around here
  15. it’s going to be pretty easy to say that we lost when the draft rolls around and no player they got comes close to rivaling the kind of impact mccaffrey has. most of those picks don’t project as starters
  16. lol hi nufan cam Newton was widely regarded, and the panthers were widely lashed for taking, what was considered “the worst #1 overall pick ever”
  17. the notion that the team has to trade him RIGHT NOW is stupid, people are so consumed with DRAFT PICKS that they forget the actual point of football teams moving Burns is only desirable if you need extra pieces to move into the top 2 for a QB. That option will still be there come season’s end. more ideally you lose out and acquire your QB organically if you need to move Brian Burns to get your QB you’re still a Brian Burns away from a super bowl roster
  18. what are you talking about, Moore has already signed his contract
  19. Wow so like your entire belief system is predicated on unquantifiable information, it’s almost impressive
  20. the only thing sweeter than watching the media gripe about this is watching the mock draft dweebs pout that nobody is gonna care about their Big, Excellent Off-season Draft Plan Thread (again)
  21. why am I Uber confident that you’ve never watched a single snap of Justin fields football since he touched down in chicago
  22. you can always tell who the NuFans are when they drop the ole “there’s no Cam Newton in this class!”
  23. there’s nothing tepper can do, he owes the league for conspiring to force the sale to him it doesn’t matter how many games the league steals, he’s got to sit there silently and take it like a good little yes man may as well find a new desktop ornament, dave
