  1. how refreshing would it be to finally be a fan of the team that didn’t have forces conniving and plotting against them to prevent their success
  2. that’s not uncommon on draft night trades but I don’t think it would be the case here.
  3. honestly Houston may be completely unwilling to work with Indy, I’d say rumors like this even existing are probably something you can read into if you’re speculating
  4. Houston caring enough about having a specific guy is the biggest obstacle here, but there is a bit of motivation for them do so: scewing Indy over. they take a guy, we take a guy, colts get the scraps
  5. this would effectively be a three team trade, if Chicago and Houston agreed to a deal there would already be a handshake agreement in place for a pick swap of 2 and 9. We couldn’t “screw them over,” the deals would be announced likely one after the other
  6. what if the panthers don’t trade up, take a really fine LB, and he becomes a breakout star? they continue to wallow in the pits of mediocrity is the answer also lol “depth” which is the 53 positions on the roster don’t have to make bankable players before a team makes a run at a QB?
  7. yeah this has been a thing around here for a while. People get so laughably consumed in whatever picture they saw or video they watched that it borders on an outright rejection of the evidence. It’s only outpaced by the medical savants who jump in to tell you whose being “rushed back.” he’ll probably end up coalescing at about that weight after an nfl offseason regimen
  8. funny how quick the in-season “eff them picks” crowd starts to care A WHOLE WHOLE LOT about draft picks come the offseason
  9. at this point I really do think they go 1-2
  10. If you have three QBs you like and don’t want to get poached it’s a good idea
  11. what are you talking about the teams sitting at 6 and 7, right now, are potential landing spots if they want a franchise QB they’re going to take one, again, to reiterate, nfl teams don’t undervalue the QB position like many posters here do
  12. you have to trade ahead of teams that want QBs themselves, that’s the point my man
  13. Williams and Maye will either be the concrete megatalents that people here treat them like they are and they will unequivocally be locked in as the top picks or one will regress to the mean and the anti-qb crowd will no longer want them and suggest we should wait for arch Manning it’s a law of nature
  14. idk but I’m kinda ready to hear a trade has been finalized and we’ve moved up
  15. it’s not about “making sure we draft a QB” it’s about making sure you get the best possible QB you can
  16. Gantt has always been a “Panthers need to know their place, do the safe thing and be happy trying to win 9 games” kind of guy he probably feels the big trade coming and is getting scared this is his form of damage control
  17. I think they’ll definitely make a run at parris Campbell
  18. “save the #9 pick” save it for what? there’s no better value for a top draft selection than to use it on a QB when you’re in need of one.
  19. Carr would be a top 3 QB in the conference, the team definitely needs to go get their own guy but if there’s a scenario where they can rent him and still draft a guy it’s worth sticking your toes in the water on Would rather make the big play to move up for their guy but I could understand sticking your nose in, at least if for no other reason than to drive the asking price up for new orleans
  20. Carr on a rental with the 9th pick on Richardson is worth inquiring about
