  1. we’re talking about the saints game also getting humiliated by Dallas in the playoffs wouldn’t have saved his job
  2. you can always tell who Vilma is actively rooting for in every game he calls dude is an amateur
  3. He was never going to win the job and that should’ve been communicated to him as we were mindful of protecting our long term assets rather than pretending to interview now the bill has predictably come due also lol at the notion that Steve Wilks should be commended for putting his own career aspirations above the good health of his players
  4. this “I don’t care if they wear pink, just win baby!” take is so cringe theyre obviously doing it to make a statement, it should bother you a little bit. it also means they want a little extra juice for this game against us, because they expect us to be hyped and the stadium to be hyped. Gotta do our part.
  5. so glad we lost Corbett in a meaningless game just so we didn’t have to hear pft call us racist
  6. Henderson lost games by himself last season and they made absolutely no effort to get a quality corner in here this offseason in fairness you had people here get piping mad when it was suggested they needed to be aggressive about it
  7. every draft there’s a guy the huddle universally likes that the team passes on followed by some terrible Voth or Gantt takes along the lines of “haha you stupid fans there’s a REASON that guy is falling” which of course immediately precedes said player becoming a good player at a position of need and the guy we take floundering away this team doesn’t have enough rings for the “just trust the experts” argument to resonate
  8. ever been to a driving range? The tee range looks like mud every night. Has to be resodded constantly. Grass grows back within a couple days because they’re using good soil and spending money on good sod. NFL teams have far, far more to spend on the singular most important component to the game aside from the ball itself
  9. you can grow grass anywhere with money, and it’s not so hideously expensive that it’s untenable. There are thousands upon thousands of golf courses that keep on operating right through winter, owned by millionaires not billionaires (covering far, far more area) it isn’t just about the money anymore. It’s about pride. The nfl has been criticized for this so now they can’t go back. They have to be right. i predicted last time this thread popped up you’d start hearing propaganda pieces about some “revolutionary new turf technology, the pioneering new TRUGrassX” or whatever….sure enough it’s come since then. nfl is a predictable tyrant
  10. Honestly I wanna see Shenault get touches carrying it out of the backfield
  11. NFL makes insane rules like the body weight thing to protect QBs specifically but can’t even play their outside game on grass because they don’t want to spend money
  12. has modernization made literally any team’s uniform look better whatever ny’s wearing looks way better than their normal rubbish
  13. the defensive side of the ball is a pretty complete unit, you sit around waiting until a Can’t Miss Generational Quarterback slips to you at 9 or 11 or 14 then you’re going to watch these rookie contracts guys get signed to big contracts with winning teams while you’re “preparing the roster” the roster is never prepared, new holes open up every offseason, and of course even when you have a good core in place you need talent at the QB position to make it all go i can’t believe there are still people oblivious to this
  14. can’t believe there are still unironic “prepare the roster” people lol
  15. This team needs explosiveness in the worst way. Chark will help.
  16. yeah but I mean jaylen waddle or Jameson William type players are out there and that would be good enough for me we have got to go find a Dynamo
  17. this team has got to find a tyreek hill type player
  18. People are fixating on the wrong things. The big exciting 53 yard strike that juices you up or the truck stick move on a 63 yard scamper. It’s not what you’re looking for. he looked composed and he looked like he was in control. That’s a really good sign. the other stuff will come. Looked a bit like rookie Tua who just went off for nearly 500. it would’ve potentially come sooner had they actually given him a lot of work in the preseason but they get cocky.
  19. He definitely looked confident and decisive. Some bad chemistry with the receivers, especially Marshall who would not get his head around. Id like to see the all-22 to see how the receivers were faring down field. Really need Chark out there.
  20. why not throw as many passes as possible if not for no other reason than to give your rookie QB reps even if you’ve thrown in the towel then prepare for going forward
  21. I’d be open to giving him the bulwark of the carries next week
  22. a culture of losing has probably seeped into a lot of veterans but I’m more concerned with it from the coaching staff
  23. Down two scores with 3+ minutes is improbable but it’s a come back you do see in the nfl. Instead the panthers got the ball and effectively sought to get out of there. a number of runs, no shots at the end zone, no urgency. The “keep pounding” team gave up. What do we make of this
