The offense with Bryce is getting worse every week
Growl replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
honestly I’d like to see Shenault get full time reps out of the backfield, I’m guessing they don’t think he can pass pro which is why they’re so gunshy about putting him there, but you’ve got to do something to generate a spark in the run game Reich making a stink about Thielen not being out there for a screen when Shenault is the only player who can do something with it is odd to me -

Yeah so our Y/A was actually higher than the Seattle game, and though our AYPA was a little bit shorter-the most incriminating piece of data is that our Y/A and AYPA vs the Vikes were IDENTICAL. That is an absolutely astounding failure on the part of the skill positions players. This team does not have the horses offensively to run the kind of offense Reich wants to run. Watching them throw those pitiful swing passes to Sanders or Hubbard only for them to lose to their man right at the LOS for no gain over and over was pitiful. Huddlers may scream and squeal about it, but the short passing game is the modern nfl and they’re going to have to learn to deal with it-the issue is that the panthers don’t have the weaponry to generate plus after the catch which is what makes it functional, and they don’t have the protection to take their shots. Young obviously has made mistakes. But he’s in his third game. The game will slow down for him. Ekwonu not being able to beat a safety in a one on one matchup is far more egregious. Miles Sanders not being able to make his man miss is far more inexcusable. -
I was honestly pondering not too long ago if I have been too hard on Ian Thomas, I mean when you endear yourself to three different coaching staffs you must be doing something right then he let a ball hit him in the face in the endzone

lol he’s talking about the interior rush; a QB doesn’t step up to see the field, he steps back. -
Frank Reich is trying to put a square peg in a round hole

Most of his snaps are coming out of the gun. He’s statistically been excellent throwing across the middle. He’s not “too short” to see blitz packages lol. He’s played three games and isn’t familiar with every disguise he’s going to see from a defensive front, and he has the league’s worst interior line with a left tackle that collapses whenever the heat is on and can’t stand one on one against a blitzing safety. frankly given his passing chart over the middle your “analysis” is looking pretty terrible right now -
ideal weapon for a west coast offense and a rookie QB, absolute brilliant move to trade him for nothing edit: yet another byproduct of the constant rotation at HC/GM firings, you stack those together and you have a strong idea of what you envision for your team moving forward. If a player like McCaffery is a fit for the vision of the staff, then you don’t ship him away for nothing/because you wanna make up for the mistake you made with the Sam darnold trade

Thomas letting the ball hit him in the face stands out as the one white in the area of the field where everyone worried a short QB wouldn’t be able to attack

Reminds me of Cam

Not really a big deal, they took an all pro caliber player that couldn’t stay healthy it was their desperation to take a local kid instead of the better player in Ekwonu’s class that fitterer should be maimed for
-
he’s gonna have to move inside, sucks they could’ve had Charles cross but that’s what you get when you take players from North Carolina if Christensen hadn’t spent the off-season rehabbing he may not have fallen apart in the first game and could’ve been an option worth exploring now

Ladies and Gentlemen... The Maestro is in the building!

lol he threw two, each dropped by the i player in question. Maybe your stream was fuzzy across the pond, should spring for ticket instead of wasting money on soccer games -

It’s hilarious how quick all the “ I don’t care if we win I just wanna see flashes” dissolved into “its Bryce’s fault we lost!” it’s become more and more abundantly clear that we have a smooth brain contingent of posters who define “flashes” as “UGH THROW THE BOMB BRYCE I WANNA BE EXCITED” -
literally cannot protect up front or create separation
-
they don’t have the talent at the skill positions to run the kind of offense they want to run

can ekwonu not commit a stupid penalty on just one red zone trip

it’s starting to feel like a pride thing with Sanders. had Hubbard touched the ball since he started gashing them? it’s like they’re feeding Sanders desperately trying to prove they were right
-
lol Marshall No words

proudiddy is the textbook demonstration of how fans can watch this game in season and season out and never actually learn about what they’re watching
-
wow man sounds like you’ve got some great insight on this matter

someone catch a ball

lol at the official across the field deciding for the backfield ref that there should be a flag

Yeah. It needs to be adding a weapon to play alongside Bryce here for a while. If they can find that it’s a good move. These kinds of moves were always on the horizon when you took a rookie QB. I don’t know why people are scandalized by it. You didn’t draft Young for this season.
