  1. burns is a no questions asked tag type of player. if he starts to sour, you tag him, try to reignite his fire with a new coach and QB, and if not, trade him then. there’s no rush to do this in light of that concern.
  2. if a one dimensional safety like Jamal adams can net two 1’s, a 3, and a player then the baseline starting point for an elite pass rusher is three 1’s then again Seattle has always been willing to overpay and carelessly throw away draft picks good thing we don’t have anyone from that school of thought running our department
  3. The Niners should’ve disqualified themselves from being eligible candidates for this trade the exact moment John lynch came over to rub it in Scott fitterers face at Fields’ pro day that they had traded up. scotty had an excellent chance to remind him of that moment and their lack of the required 1st round pick. instead Bank of America stadium is 49er territory and the 49er sub is chock full of know nothing Niner fans bragging that they are our daddy
  4. you’re going to get big market corporate media begging the team to give away our marquee players to legacy teams, especially now that we’ve proven we’ll take lowball deals theres blood in the water and they’re going to push for it, may as well saddle up
  5. ah but wait until you see how many 4ths we get in the trade down
  6. great news, I fully expect the team with the 4th overall pick to give it to us in exchange for these picks
  7. if the panthers would come to me for advice instead of jay glazer they’d be in much better shape at the QB position and that’s a fact jack
  8. how many games has mccaffery missed because he was hurt and how many has he missed because he was “still a little sore coach” on a 3-9 football team
  9. if we get the top pick ahead of the cowboys or Steelers or whatever I wouldn’t be surprised if the nfl deems this tampering and takes it from us
  10. you’re far more optimistic about these middle picks being difference makers than I am, especially given with what current management has done with them so far
  11. if they don’t find some way to screw it up I will be stunned baker is still baker. He’s due to look like Dan Marino for a three game stretch this season. It’s what he does, and they’ll probably give him the opportunity to ruin everything.
  12. you really haven’t been a fan of this team long have you
  13. do reporters simply have so little respect for this organization that they fear absolutely no rePurrcussions of publicly leaking private conversations for those sweet juicy clicks this is twice now this season
  14. I don’t feel like your argument here makes much sense. McCaffery was a pretty valuable tool for a rookie QB. A center is not. The inferior rookie RB they’re now forced to draft may be but not at Mccafferys level. The ole 2nd round wideout sure hasn’t paid dividends for this team since Moose. maybe if they package both 2’s to go get the notre dame TE I’ll be contented but I’m pretty sure this was just about fitterer chasing his own tail trying to replace everything he’s given up.
  15. hey jay they probably weren’t expecting you to go tell everyone they asked you that
  16. you still have to have a good football team to win games color me unconvinced that whatever depth piece they acquire out of this is better for their overall competitiveness than what they had-mccaffrey and the inside track to the top pick
  17. middle round picks dont attractive innovative offensive minds innovative offensive talents do
  18. the silver lining here is that this more or less solidifies having the top pick or two in the draft but they were already on pace for that anyways and there were other ways to help solidify that without moving yourself farther way from their ultimate goal as they did with this trade this team was quite realistically staring down the barrel of having a stroud or young in the backfield alongside mccaffrey, now they’ll have one of them back there with an inferior player they used the 2nd round pick on this was about scott fitterer trying to get back to net neutral to execute his poor vision of how to manage a football team
  19. the team has other pieces. What it needed was to make a massive investment at the most important position on the field to make it all work. now the team has less pieces and almost certainly only got a high end backup or low level starter to show for it
  20. I’m guessing this more or less kills any fleeting interest Brian burns had left in resigning here
  21. lol if this team trades a true game changer for a center
  22. you just don’t get it man, but if you follow me on Twitter you’ll see that I’ve got some really excellent write ups on some exciting middle round prospects that I discovered due to my vast scouting mind and YouTube.com follow me at Twitter.com/draftsagemaster17notaforumguyliterallyascoutingguru
  23. this team has without a doubt the worst ownership in any of the four major sports
  24. also lol at the “the panthers are too proud to firesale” crowd they couldn’t get a current year pick for anderson and just gave away their lone game changer for a slew of developmental backups and an inferior RB they’ll have to take
