  1. I’m so glad we have huddlers here to explain to us their advanced 15D draft formula of drafting mediocre players from weak conferences is actually the good
  2. it really doesn’t matter. the team needs to take on a swing on a QB or all the Prepare the Roster’ing they’ve done is walking out the door, or being traded to San Francisco for mid round picks if they don’t give it an opportunity to all come together then it really has all been pointless
  3. posters here are pretty okay with taking losses in stride but if you snag precious draft picks out of their bony little fingers they’re going get angry
  4. I think he’s talking about satterfield?
  5. whenever I watch him play I always feel like I’m on the verge of watching of something bad happen like it comes together but only just barely and it’s always awkward and off
  6. “guys the math doesn’t support banking on pick 199 as the best place to take a QB” ”but Tom Brady was drafted there” ”okay but here’s every other player taken at that pick who has amounted to nothing at this level, the facts don’t supp…” “ha but Tom Brady, can’t deny it”
  7. no, I’m completely aware you’re afraid to look at a more meaningful overview of the issue than the niche window you’ve handpicked i just don’t indulge people who can’t engage an intellectual conversation honestly lol tell us why you settled on the 6-12 window if Herbert was taken 7th, would the window have been 6-12? if he was taken 5th, would he have been excluded outright? rather than observe your moronic and purposefully ignorant take i presented you with a chance to look at an actual breakdown the information relative o the discussion at hand if you’d rather blunder around in darkness then have at it
  8. if this is so this team has a better roster than many bad teams the reality though is that this is one of the most competitive jobs on earth and it isn’t going to be hard to fill the spot with a viable candidate
  9. there are only 32 nfl teams and every single opening is for a bad team, idk where this delusion comes from that bad teams have a hard time attracting quality candidates
  10. okay setting aside “appears” and the intellectually dishonest window you’ve fabricated, let’s look at fact
  11. the argument is so hilariously shallow, the extent of it is never anything more than “highly drafted QBs aren’t a sure thing” okay then what position is a sure thing What is the impact of that position relative to the impact of a QB where in the draft are odds for finding a high end quarterback better what is the advantage of picking lower what is the exact specific selection that is best to acquire one Is it preferable to have to trade lots of capital to move up or you do you naively believe perennial winners can be built without a QB i could go on and on with simple logic questions that arise if you prod the argument in even the tiniest way because people willfully blind themselves to the fact that it isn’t about acquiring a sure thing, but observing where in the draft is more likely to yield the required asset because they know full well that to acknowledge this is to watch the argument disintegrate just admit that this is emotionally based decision and we can all move on, but the insane rationalizing has become comical
  12. yes, the stats say it’s better to pick high, and yes, the hit rate picking lower in the draft is astronomically lower, and yes, no player at any position is a statistical certainty yes it is an objective truth that it is preferable to pick higher in the draft but have you considered what we’d be missing out on? if this team fails to get to 7 wins, think of all the culture we’ll fail to acquire
  13. “yes, the stats say you’re right, but you gotta understand that maybe it would be better for my argument if they didn’t”
  14. the team really doesn’t need a new stadium and they definitely don’t need a dome but the panthers exist to help Dave tepper build a personal legacy for himself and you guys need to help accommodate that if you stupid poor people would stop complaining about the price of food at the game and stop eating before you got there we wouldn’t have this problem now shut up and give mr tepper $60 for parking and $20 for your hot dog and soda that’ll be an extra $5 to pee too
  15. it has been proven, with statistics, on this forum, multiple times, that the higher you draft in the 1st the better the hit rate ”dragging a QB” isn’t a gamble. QBs, like players at every other position, sometimes pan out and sometimes do not. the difference is that when your QBs pan out you become a perennial playoff contender and when your stud OT or DE or DT or CB pans out you continue to wallow in mediocrity until you get a high end QB
  16. I have literally never read something Darin gantt has written and thought “well here’s something to consider” he should go back to vomiting up articles nobody reads for pft
  17. those three teams share the same number of championships
  18. they also need to avoid trading down, given the statistical and indisputable truth that the farther down the board you go the more likely a player is to fail, they need to avoid picking low also they need to avoid picking high because those players may not be successful either if I had my way the team wouldn’t draft anyone so we didn’t have to worry about it
  19. I’d like to avoid will anderson at all costs just because you draft a guy doesn’t mean there’s any guarantee he’s going to be a good player, they should steer clear of him
  20. the top two QBs won’t go top 2… right? we’ll get into the process, teams will start nitpicking and become overly critical….right? it always happens….right? it’ll be fine….. right? …..right?
  21. packers win substantially improves Detroit’s SOS
