Person: Richardson still in the conversation...if we trade down
Growl replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jimmy didn’t give up #2, I wouldn’t expect Corral to give up #9 bad optics -
people were just complaining how it was “poor journalistic integrity” to put Young’s score out and not Stroud’s. what is the right answer?

We are in the “everyone is lying” zone of pre-draft
Growl replied to Doc Holiday's topic in Carolina Panthers
We blew by lying season already. This is the point where things start to filter out. -
I remember the discussions being more offense vs defense oriented, honestly don’t remember anybody wanting yo gabba

It kinda just seems like you’re kidding yourself at this point if you don’t see the way it’s headed maybe it’s a big Texans smokescreen or maybe it isn’t and the Texans make a good offer anyways, maybe CJ comes in and really delivers in the interview but it’s pretty clear at this point with the way these things usually work which way it’s trending

We had to deal with the same 10 posters or so popping in every time Cam threw an incomplete pass for way longer than you’d probably believe

Ellis Williams charlotte observer Mock draft Apr 10
Growl replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
the teams waiting for other teams to change the paradigm before they’re willing to try new things are the teams watching those teams win super bowls -
Albert Breer's insights on the Panthers and other Top 10 teams
Growl replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Moving off the best QB is the kind of thing people make fun of you for. if they’re confident the guy their settling for is going to be elite then I’ll take most anything Houston offered but the dude you pick better be the dude -
The super bowl winner should always have the last pick of the draft, as a kind of prize. It isn’t beneficial to be picking after all the comp picks, so maybe award them an additional pick right at the end, a final celebration and a small, but practical, reward for winning it all. Have Mr. Irrelevant hold his jersey while posing next to the Lombardi.

These don’t have to be good changes. Just propose changes. Here’s a few I drummed up: -Abolish 3rd round compensatory picks, making Draft Day 3 better. Then-expand the draft to 8 rounds. Why? Why not? -Have Day 1 of the draft on Friday night. Then Day 2 of the draft the following Friday. Then have day 3 of the draft the following Friday. (I hate this idea, but the media hype cycle for 4th round selections could be entertaining) -show coverage of every team’s selection, even deep into the draft, not just the ones made by NFC east teams -don’t let literally any organization, entity business, or literally just a seeming random collection of people, that wants to announce pick for the nfl draft announce a pick. Not to be a miser but I kinda agree with mayock here, maybe the kid being drafted in the 5th round out of North Dakota tech should get the spotlight, not a goat that can spit water through a balloon at the pensacola zoo. Im sorry goat, i mean no offense but this isn’t your moment. -safeguards to ensure the nfl never has a lottery. I say this because I figure that if great quarterbacks like burrow and Lawrence and whomever the Panthers take continue to transform hard luck franchises, the legacy sports media is going get tired of watching the patriots lose games to the Jaguars and start pushing for changes to be made to the draft process. Remember how badly they wanted Joe burrow to force his way out of Cincy prior to the draft?

Young creates time in the pocket, not too worried about that. Misleading stat. Alabama’s offensive line was pretty down from their normal standard.
-
honestly when I look at CJ he just kind of feels OOU maybe that’s why they shouldn’t draft him
-
Slight lean towards Stroud but there’s some real FOMO with Bryce. He does things at an elite level, right now, getting off the bus. that guys with long nfl careers never figure out. he can move the pocket and create separation for wide outs with with general body control, honestly I’ve only seen brees do it as well as he does right now my big concern is the arm strength though. Idk if it’s requisite, and it can affect his accuracy too.

It’s Official: Panthers getting new uniforms (color corrections)
Growl replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Have a hard time believing that Nike didn’t have packer green or Niner gold or cowboy blue that they wouldn’t have forced them to get in the shop and make the color League should’ve dogged them on our behalf but like always, it’s us, so they don’t care- 265 replies

Growl replied to CAPantherFan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Just went and watched this guy and tbh he spends a lot of plays watching what’s happening Would’ve rather have the Arkansas guy Edit: his prospect page highlights the issue too https://www.nfl.com/prospects/bj-ojulari/32004f4a-5542-6541-4cd9-8e817d1b5514 -
