Growl replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I seriously can't believe im watching ESPN but NFLN won't shut up about Jameis Winstom and Chip Kelly. ESPN is actually talking the draft. -

I'm so torn on what network to watch. NFLN's crew isn't nearly S bad as ESPN's but at least ESPN actually provides analysis of the player and such after the pick whereas NFLN can't get off the off the field storylines -

Goodell is going to get booed like a vegan at a jerky convention tonight. -

Roto said he didn't do well last year, but he is only 23. 6th rounder would be sweet. -

This is intriguing. -
It looks like it's all but a given Peat is gone by the time 25 rolls around. If Gettleman wants one of his prospects in this class, he my pay have to make a jump.
-
This is such a great point. We passed on Ealy in the first last year for a "project" WR and Ealy is two inches taller and 30 LBs heavier. One of the Gettleman lines that gets conveniently ignored around here because it doesn't subscribe to the Pappy line of thinking is that Gettleman has an affinity for physical specimens.
-
Let's compile a list of things Gettleman does that the Huddle swears he would never do because of Pappyisms on the way a team is supposed to be run 1) Draft for a need 2) Take a high potential, riskier player 3) Draft something other than defensive linemen 4) Isn't obsessed with trading picks 5) Pass on players ranked high on Mel kipers big board 6) Not be helplessly tethered to a lame joke or sentiment he threw out in an interview years ago (hog Molly! Blue goose!!") I'm missing some I know it
-
guys there is no way Teh Getts passes on the Mizzou DE he's got a thing for them he said that in an interview blue goose and stuff he definitely isn't gonna do pass on him not to take a wide receiver that draftek said had question marks #getts #gettmagic #interviews #cliches Huddle circa April 2014
-
I'll wager that if Ray is on the board when we pick that Gettleman passes on him.
-
Polish mentions Smith as one of his favorite picks.
-
Like it, but not with Collins still on the board. And frankly, Newton had clearly already rehearsed his propaganda spill on our OTs and wasn't going to take one no matter who fell.
-
lol I was right
-
I wonder if they'll go to a commercial when we pick in this draft like they do in the real draft.

Remember last year when a lot of teams passed on taking a WR in the 1st because there was so much depth they figured they could just get one in the 2nd? I'm starting to be concerned teams may have that same attitude with DEs and players at positions we actually want may get nabbed up.
-
Parker & Dorsett have such great body control. Probably only Cooper has better in this class.
-
Well this is shaping up to be a nightmare scenario
-
He's gonna go to Seattle and I'm gonna go nuts.
-
Im not paying for this.

Jameis Winston: I didn't steal the crab legs

lol at calling him a "thief" Telling a college kid you got free food for him is like telling a homeless man you have a roof for him -

Yeah, me and friends used to do stuff like this all the time growing up. Sounds legit. -
This has been routine under Goodell.
-
NFL is trying a new tactic by labeling it as conduct detrimental. The DV suspension itself will likely be reduced but there is no precedent in this scenario for the CD punishment. Goodell is doing everything he can to make the time he sits as long as possible so he can sing to the press and the world how "hard-nosed" he is against DV.
