They were not very good in the second half I didn't think. Turned the ball over a lot and looked far less dangerous without pulisic. However playing a little lazy up 3-0 is understandable. They can play similarly against Australia but strategy will need to adjust against better teams. They took a ton of chances and left themselves exposed a lot in the first half, Paraguay just wasn't talented enough on either end of the pitch to do anything about it. Playing that way against a top 10 ranked side probably results in a 3-0 halftime deficit instead of a lead but I believe coaching is smart enough to know that. Definitely a very entertaining first half and was super important towards gaining momentum with casual fans. I personally didn't like the commentating style because I felt like they tried really hard to commentate for people who don't typically watch the sport but I understand why they did it. Great start for the team and country they should be in the driver's seat to top the group and I would expect a comfortable win against Australia too if pulisic is healthy.

I am hoping coaching knows enough to know we cant play this way against better teams or we will get killed on counter but this is fun to watch. Look much better than Mexico and clearly have zero respect for the opponent.

I would explore sengun or jarrett allen if Giannis isnt an option. If we trade for a center I would put Kalk, Josh Green and TJ packaged with picks. I am not sure how I would feel about including miles for a 5 unless coaches felt like Sengun and Moose could play together in the starting line up

I'm not going to bash UNC because Coach k use to never play anyone non conference. Only reason Duke is doing it now is because they're making bank. They were able to secure their own tv rights outside the ACC for several games and I'm sure it more than pays for the roster. It's honestly brilliant

Yeah the only way current set up is fun is if every year a different tiny school builds a super team and makes a run. You just need 1 rich guy to say you know what would be funny, if I drop 30 million and my school has a shot at a national championship. They won't ever do it but put some sort of tiered salary cap in place and sign them to 4 year deals. You can only transfer up or down tiers no lateral moves because mean ole coach at texas doesn't play me enough so I'm going to Tennessee. So a player at prairie view can transfer to texas and get paid more or a player from UNC can transfer to UNCG because he isn't getting playing time. If a guy is transferring "up" he can get a salary bump if the team has salary cap space. A guy transferring down has to stay at the same salary as he signed his 4 year deal for so the lower tier team would have to have the cap space to sign him. It would stop the money chasing for lateral moves but allow guys who improve massively at lower schools to make more money as juniors and seniors and hopefully keep more guys in one place because the contract is for 4 years.

Not personally, definitely not if we can't sign white long term. I don't know that I would want giannis as dumb as that sounds. He would stunt Kon and millers development. If those guys can grow into allstars then adding an aging superstar may not be best. I think if they could keep melo miller and kon I would trade for giannis assuming they'd have to make real noise in the next 2 years for it to make sense

You can't trade melo for 38 year old curry unless they're giving picks. I'd give them miles josh green and white (provided we sign and trade) for Curry.

Nba coaches are largely irrelevant. Bickerstaff was on the bobcats staff for like 5 years. He's ranked highly because the Pistons were a good team. Gm is much more important than Coach in the NBA
