I really don't know what Nicks is worth, the market is just so screwy right now. Both Cecil Shorts and Kenny Britt got two year deals, but one was worth $6m while the other $14m. Compared to guys who got three year deals: I'd say he's not as good as Stevie Johnson (who got $10.5m) but better than Eddie Royal (who somehow got $15m). So yeah, who knows.

I'm not sure we can say with certainty how good he'll be years from now when he's not even healthy at the moment. All the "he's a top 10 pick if healthy" talk is nice and all (though I don't personally think he would've been that high up there), but the bottom line is he isn't healthy. Trent Richardson was also supposed to be an AP-level talent. Hell he went third overall, neither Gordon nor Gurley are regarded that highly. Picking him in the late first wouldn't be the end of the world but I'm hoping he'd be cleared to play by then. But honestly, I can think of few ways that'd be a worse use of a first round pick than by spending it on an injured player at a position where you can find similar talent on the third day of the draft.
