  1. Well there's also Tolbert, frankly we normally keep just 3 pure HB with Tolbert as a HB/FB. I'm thinking they could keep 5, but I'm just not sure where they make up for it. Webb? 5 receivers? Not sure.
  2. I've gotta think there will be an outsider or two after cuts, looks pretty good overall though. Gentleman loves his pass rushers, and 4 DEs seems paltry given the talent we lack there. Plus Gentleman normally keeps 5. Also I think we keep a 6th LB, though not sure who (probably Trusnik or Jacobs). I'm also on the fence about Boykin, and I believe we'll add another receiver to the corps anyway. QB, RB, DT (health pending), and CB are positions I could see us going with one less of in order to accommodate those moves.
  3. Happy to hear he's adapting quickly, but is he really gonna push Remmers out? Everything I've read suggests they've both played very well throughout camp. Kind of a shame we seem to have two legitimate RTs but a shaky situation at LT.
  4. Interesting that reports are already coming out about Delmas. @Rapsheet Source: #Dolphins DB Louis Delmas has a torn ACL, per initial diagnosis.
  5. Those guys don't factor in. Ginn has to fit in somewhere. Benjamin, Funchess, Cotchery, Philly, Ginn, Bersin is my guess. Byrd seems like a prime practice squad candidate. Another factor we're not really discussing is cuts coming up. Maybe we find a receiver there.
  6. Really feels like an 8-man race at this point: Benjamin, Funchess, Brown, Cotchery, Ginn, Bersin, Byrd, Boykin (I guess Presley could be a dark horse, but we may again stash him on the PUP). Think those top 6 make it, though in playing with lineups I could see scenarios where we keep 7. Byrd is most likely a Practice Squad player, I don't think anyone is gonna be plucking an undersized UDFA off our squad.
  7. Fair. Nine OL seems fairly common though. If Williams steps up it could be a non-issue and Remmers could end up backing up tackle and center.
  8. Those of us on mobile would certainly appreciate just pasting the content. The app is much smoother than the mobile site, just can't show tweets.
  9. One less QB (Webb) and lineman (likely Folkerts, with Remmers taking over backup Center duties). But then we could have as many as 6 RBs if Todman and Ward stick (Ward likely means one less TE in Brockel). Hard to call, could see something like a 27-23 offense-defense split this year. 2 QB 6 RB (HB and FB) 7 WR 9 OL 3 TE 4 DT 5 DE 6 LB 4 CB 4 S Something like that.
  10. We also worked out a receiver yesterday, despite being at 90 players again.
  11. Not really worth its own thread: @AaronWilson_NFL Panthers worked out former Texas wide receiver Mike Davis, according to a source
  12. His twitter handle is @phillybrown10, I doubt he hates the nickname too much.
  13. My guess: Stewart's the starter Tolbert is the short-yardage back Fozzy beats out Todman for change-of-pace role CAP over Wegher and Reaves as primary backup Ward over Brockel at fullback
  14. It won't happen, but I wouldn't be upset if it were all guaranteed. Cam's a durable guy; I mean just last year he endured ankle surgery, a nasty car accident, and Byron Bell. We obviously intend to keep him around for six years and beyond. Plus it'd throw a wrench into the market with Luck and Wilson upcoming
  15. Special Teams is the main reason he's here. I only see Boykin making it if we keep a sixth guy, and even then he'll have to beat out Hill, Bersin, Presley, etc.
  16. Stewart cap hit: $8.3m If cut/traded: $13.6m
  17. What a weird offseason for Klein. Free Agency: Blackburn isn't brought back, so one would think Klein is the undisputed starter. Draft day one: We bring in Shaq, effectively pushing Klein back to the bench. Draft days two and three: Team gives up several picks for Funchess and Williams, making me start to wonder if we shouldn't trade a player for another pick. We then draft another backup MLB/SLB in the 5th, and Klein becomes the obvious candidate. I know player-for-player trades are rare, but I think it'd be fantastic if we could move him for a rotational DE, DB, or OT. The LB position is stacked: Luke, TD, Shaq, Mayo, Klein, Trusnik, Glanton, Jacobs, Reddick, etc. To go from presumed starter to potentially not making the team is crazy.
  18. You can't cite the playoff game as the reason Addison is over Ealy when you have a player who wasn't even active for the game ranked second.
  19. The amounts are set, save for signing bonuses. However, teams only have about $86,000 they can spend on their ENTIRE UDFA class. They can also guarantee portions or all of the salary.
  20. You mean salary cap circumvention? Fines, loss of draft picks, etc.
  21. UDFAs are locked into 3-year deals, and those can't be altered until after year 2. Once two years pass, however, he can be extended/re-negotiated. Of course the team still holds all the leverage, because if they don't extend him he becomes a restricted free agent after 3 years.
  22. The only financial difference will be signing bonus money. Teams can only pay out $86,957 in total to UDFAs this year. We gave $15,000 of that to Miley, not sure about the others though.
