Could it be the shocking concept of his day job having higher priority than his hobby?

Beating the Saints cost us 1 draft slot after all
Thorrez replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you think they is a Justin Herbert in the draft you trade up as high as possible to get him. Throw in an extra fourth and the fact that your first is one slot lower will not matter in that trade. -
Losing is for losers. Come get your victory pie.

I tried hoping for a los, but could not help myself and celebrate my team winning! plus, f the Saints! -
Define respect: Coverage rolled to your side, two dbs playing you man and they still had the outside linebacker in the flat to bumb you.

The problem is the first ballot Hof thinking being the best hofers. I theory there is no such thing, but in reality it is so the voter are tougher the first year. So this year it is Smith vs being close to the best ever. Next year it is vs the other guys. Still shitty, Delhomme throw stuff up for grabs for the receiver to do the job and that was the best QB he had for any time. His numbers are absurd given that.

He took a prove it desk and proved it so he cashed in with a winner. We could have tagged at $19M but he was never interested in signing here long term. So basically a one year rental was the only possibility.

They get a haul this year too beef up the team so they can put someone in a better situation next year. As they have recent first hand experience what happens when a top two pick busts, I think they listen to offers. However, this is a straw. I think you are correct in that they will just pick a QB.

Once he put it together, he was always overcoming lack of talent with smarts and preparation. Those should be the same. With everyone else having 15 games in them, it is actually possible this could work. Plus it is always fun to know the ball might be pushed out at any time.

You can only spread it out if he is on the roster and you can add years, he is already for six years with base salary between 44 and 50 Million in the dummy years. With his incentives to change anything being zero they will just have to eat it. Or shorter, they fugged themselves and the herd they rode in on.

The “Maybe Not So Obvious” Elephant in the Room
Thorrez replied to WarHeel's topic in Carolina Panthers
The problem is not that we are not winning. It's a zero sum league and plenty of teams are on long slumps without the fans giving up. The problem is that we are in a collage sports state where even bad teams have winning records (after being up the teams like Little U Squirrels, South Western Cook County Suburbans and Coastal Kentucky Explorers). Or to put it bluntly. Fans are spoiled. -
Saints busted (again) for faking an injury
Thorrez replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like this suggestion, fines are like throwing some gravel on the road in front of a truck and except the driver to slow down. -
Teddy just don't have the physical tools. Slow, long wind-up and the ball still lacks velocity coming out. He is accurate, so dink and dunk worked, but when the field condensed closer to the goal line the ball simply did not arrive before the defender had already made the play. And he knew it so he always opted for the bail out for a short gain. Made stats look great though...

Probability Analysis of the Burns and DJ decision
Thorrez replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
The 16th pick makes $3M a year. So the extra money should be deducted to a little less than 20. And I think we should also point out that this route neglects any chance for comp picks. But even with that, I still think your point stands (If this was the deal, I would not be surprised that second was really something like a swap for our third and so on, but that we'll never know). -
Shaq says Wilks is bringing back the Panthers to what they used to be.
Thorrez replied to rayzor's topic in Carolina Panthers
If that why they used every possible resource we have trying to upgrade at QB since Rhule got here? They utterly failed at it, but it was not lack of trying because they "don't value the QB enough" -

If toughness was the key to success the Lions would be 8-0. NFL is not a high school or even collage where getting the most out of subpar athletic ability can make you a winner. No team lose due to lack of effort, at least not before the session is lost. In the long run you lose because you are being out talented or out coached. All players are already within a millimeter of injury, working harder, or tougher, is just not an option to build long-term success. And the way Shaq being playing this year under both coaches I should probably just be quite. -
Colts bench QB Matt Ryan, will start Sam Ehlinger rest of way
Thorrez replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is not over until the Commanders or Panthers have traded for you and handed you the starting spot... -
I was surprised both Sanchez and Vilma hyping him up. So it is obvious he is gaining traction and as the choice is in large part a popularity contest he has a shot. I think he needs "smack the guard on his ass and the level the qb" kind of highlight play the tip the scale.

I never understood this argument. If I buy a $50 item from you for $100, did you make a bad deal with me just because you decide to use the 100 to buy a $10 item?
-
Tank command, you just made my day
-
No. If we are to bring in a hot young offensive minded HC he will need all the weapons possible. I would love to see what a creative mind could do working him mostly from the slot. Bills would want roi and run him into the ground, this would probably be his last productive year in that case.

You do realize this is the wording of the rule and not something I made up? Appearing not given your response, but at least you learned something today.

Lowered head to initiate contact AND helmet to helmet. Anyone of these is enough in itself. Just make the call reviewable, or make a sky judge/New York make a 10s call. This is just embarrassing both way right now.

Jacob Eason… Come on down. Thoughts on his limited play?’
Thorrez replied to panthersgreenville's topic in Carolina Panthers
Season is dead, question is do we want to see PJ dump it off into the flat and the defense placing everyone and his grandmother in the box? Att least the kid has an arm for a change, give him five games and see if he can put it together. If he sucks (which is mostly likely). Worst case he is an interception prone gunslinger, that gives away every other game, but also wins games he shouldn't, and that is if nothing else fun to watch. If he just plain suck no harm done, first pick here we come. -
REPORT: Burns practically a "lock" to be traded before the deadline
Thorrez replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
4 years 85 million with an extra void year or to at the end. Kept the cap around ten the first two seasons. And here is the kicker. Offer 50 million in up front cash at signing. This is what the Rams keep doing and a benefit in having a very rich owner that can dish out at loan and not wait for the money from the NFL in coming seasons. Very few people can turn down that kind of money, even if they wanted out before. -
The crazy thing is we would be 3-0 with Cam Newton
Thorrez replied to OneBadCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you wanna play the what if game, we are a playoff caliber roster if we had kept Heinike and Allen and poured all the waste qb-resource into the rest of the roster. If course the huddle would be in flames from us ignoring the QB position
