Jeremiah: Panthers "dead set" on drafting an offensive lineman

Top 10 if not 5. -
What do you do, and what are you qualified to do in the mortgage industry. Where do you live and where do you want to live.

Jeremiah: Panthers "dead set" on drafting an offensive lineman
thefuzz replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope this is wrong, and somehow at the same time hope it's right. I don't like how leaky our Front Office may be...if this is true....and I don't like the idea of hell or high water taking an OL at 6, if he's not grading out that way. I really want Icky. -
It really is hard for me to believe he spent this much on a team, had no history of being anywhere but the business side of an NFL team, and didn't overpay for a legit President of Football Operations. I'm not kidding, that was shocking to me. Him buying the team was smart, him not handling it properly was stupid.

I feel like Tepper will have to let him ride out this season...unfortunately. He's made mistake after mistake after mistake....I bet he fears making one more....cutting a coach 2 years into a 7 year deal. Good luck Panthers, you're gonna need it.
-
What has given you the idea that Tepper is smart, and knows what he's doing? Also, it's spelled Kurb.
-
Agreed. Only special guys can operate with terrible O Lines...Rhule either doesn't know this, or thought the line was better than it was. Both are grave mistakes.
-
Not doing any research, what so ever, into such a large purchase. Had he dug in...like really dug in...he would have known to poo can Hurney the moment the ink dried in the purchase contract. That man is a magnet for losing, always has been...never ran team well during any of his stretches...never, Tepper had no clue. That one move would have changed the course of the franchise immediately. 2nd biggest mistake: Keeping Hurney after kicking Ron to the curb. Those two mistakes will cost us dearly for years. Both involve Marty.

BREAKING NEWS Deshaun Watson now willing to be traded to CAROLINA
thefuzz replied to Woot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Settle all lawsuits, have criminal charges dropped, and sure, I'd love to have Watson here.....so long as it doesn't cost us anything in return. Meaning: Please don't do this. Do not make yet another terrible mistake pushing winning seasons further and further into the future. -
I agree, bland was the wrong word. Guarded, weary of those around him...listen twice as much as you talk...would almost be boring to most folks...were it not for his size.

Hahaha, like I said, I come here for the daily grouping of smiles it give me to laugh at an organization that I used to care about. I've seen some badly run companies, hell was a part of one in my career for a little bit...but this one takes the cake, this team is being run like the bar that the rich kid's dad buys for him right after college because he can't find a good job. Disaster.
-
My only interaction with the team at this point is on here....I like the smile it gives me here and there during the work day.
-
Hahahaha. I forgot about the offseason strategy of bringing back 21 of 22 starters....or something like that that the team put out a number of years ago. Forgetting the win total of said team the previous year. Hell, I can't even recall the year at this point.

Ian followed the Middle Management Way. Suck up, don't threaten, get rewarded. The problem, the upper management here sucks, so they hire terrible middle managers, which produces a bad work environment, which produces a crap product. Fans aren't gonna buy said product.

Could we really pick something other than QB or o-line at 6?
thefuzz replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes, to answer your question, yes we could. Only because we have the most braindead leadership in the building right now and very little ammo. All 3 of the tackles being gone at 6 will be hard to swallow. And the answer to the other question...if the C is a rock star, I'm fine taking him high. O Line is SO important right now in the league and we seriously need to address it. -
Dumb team.
-
Usually shitty teams have to overpay for said services. If JAX or CAR is the destination, they aren't signing here for the same amount of money as say....Dolphins or Green Bay. We have to pay higher to get their services...which is one of the reasons the team was bad to start with.

"what do you know, you're just a stupid fan" Some panther fan somewhere right now, knowing he's wrong.
-
I'm not saying they are, but UNC players do tend to get talked about a lot on here...more than NCSU by a pretty wide margin. In ENC, almost every single person you meet from here is a Carolina fan...most have never stepped foot on the campus, I was wondering if it was like that all over the US with other teams and states or if NC is special because we have produced so many great BB runs over the past 20 years. I see that same fan spillover here with players. A good friend of mine from here, graduated from Clemson, so did his wife, also from here....DIEHARD UNC Fans...for no real reason. I find it odd.
-
OH MY GOD. Did I read those numbers correctly?
-
Yea I don't remember screams for Mario Williams, Philip Rivers, Russ, etc... UNC fans are rabid in this state.
-
I thought he was bland on purpose in the books, but he is an investigator at the end of the day who can really handle himself. Loner, doesn't talk much, and has even fewer friends. I was sick for a couple days in a row recently, watched them all and sat in the recliner, it's not addicting to me, but I was out of stuff to watch...more mind numbing TV, but with a good plot. The acting took me a while, and I never thought it got good, but not unbearable.
-
I thought it was very similar to the way he actually is in the book. Tom Cruise's version is totally different than the books. I enjoyed it, ready for Jack Ryan to come back though, that show was entertaining to me.
-
I have no problem with fanboys, it's not my thing, but I get it. I am however always amazed at how many of them we have dealing with UNC though...I wonder if all states are like that or if we happen to be an outlier? There are a lot of guys on here that went to NCSU and you don't really hear them banging the table for NC State players...it's weird, just wondering if it's normal? I'm from NC and it's been this way my whole life.

What would y'all think of hiring Ken Dorsey as HC next year?
thefuzz replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm pretty sure that I do as well to be honest. And No, I'm not interested in the least. We need a real coach here, not another shot in the dark. We are too far gone for that.
