No, but we can't count on him to be a high level starter either. Nothing wrong with having a good backup OT.
-
I hear ya, and that's true...if we have a top 5 graded DE sitting there, and a top 15 graded OT...then yes, I totally agree. If we have the number 2 DE and the number 2 OT...I'm taking OT so fast it would make your head spin. I want a badass O Line again. Gross made us not have to think about that position for 10 years...that was so very nice.

Scouting reports for the top three quarterbacks
thefuzz replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just do not like Willis' game as much as Corral's...that delivery and release is wild to watch...and at least we know he can stand up to "better defenses". Corral's arm is LIVE. -
I get wanting more chances...but moving off the 6th pick when we desperately need a Left Tackle of the future...in a tackle heavy draft would frustrate me...unless they are all gone by 6. I'm just not interested in a defensive pick this year, we need help on the other side of the ball...badly.

What do I want, or what do I think will happen? What I want: Sam. Build the line. Save picks and future money. What I think will happen: Pickett. If that's not the route, wouldn't be shocked to see Baker or Minchew after the draft. IF CMC could stay healthy, Henderson fall in love with the game, Horn come back full speed, and Burns have a contract year...I could see this as a playoff team with Baker at the helm...if we get the LT we need at 6.
-
Neither can win consistently without a talented roster. Mid level starting QB's that cost too much. Unfortunately, we have a bottom tier QB that we are paying the same amount as Baker. No thank you, dance with Sam.
-
No. Check out Manning 1's rookie season. Not comparing the two, but when you go number 1 overall...you typically don't have a first couple years like Burrow.
-
Yes. And us as well.
-
Seems hard to believe, unless we are really pushing money back...hard. May be smart with the TV deal, may blow up in our faces...I've heard before "we expected the cap to rise by X and it didn't" talk.
-
No thank you. A coach from Baylor and a QB from Liberty. Brilliant.

Bordeaux Blanc's will be my go to this summer... French wines typically taste better to my pallet, but I'm open to all of it, need to stock up soon...my little neighborhood wine shop is closing down this week after being there for 8 years...gonna suck.
-
Unfortunately, that should have been the plan from day 1....instead he brings in a college passing game consultant who had never called plays. I mean, what he said/says...and what we saw him do for 2 years...was and still is confusing. Rhule can't seriously think that he can keep his job with a rookie QB back there...but I've seen dumber things happen...hell...he's still here.
-
I'm wondering it this is true, or just what he says? That said, ball control and good defense should be the name of the game this season if he's trying to keep his job.
-
I typically have a glass with dinner, $15-20...you can find a lot of good stuff in that range if you dig a bit. I'm a fan of French Whites at the moment, but a little tough to get the ones that are really good consistently.
-
I wouldn't quit on my team, risk or not. Not how I was raised. I'm not saying its smart, but it's what I would do as well.
-
I've heard about him jumping Icky and Neal...wild.

Post Mortem on the Watson Trade (from Albert Breer)
thefuzz replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If it's football strictly....I'm not sure I'm buying what he's selling. If it's a better roster than the other choices left...that may be true, or may not...the Saints do have talent on their squad. What I'm getting at is....in the AFC you have Allen, Herbert, Mahomes, Russell, Jackson, Burrow, and to a lesser extent Carr, Ryan, Tannehill, etc... That is a brutal spate of QB's to go trophy hunting against...in the NFC...what? An OLD Brady and an almost OLD Rodgers. If I wanted to win big, I don't think that I'd be in the AFC...and right now you have two legendary teams who are waiting in the background as well in the Pats and Steelers. -
I think there is genuine interest there, but I'm not going to buy yet that we are all in for him...although you are correct, they took the whole FO and coaching staff up there outside of Snow it seems.
-
I don't think you can read into us fully being there any more than we are doing our due diligence. We NEED a QB, we have a high draft pick. It would be crazy to not see them there honestly. That said, I'm not a fan, but whatever. I'd prefer to go O Line and work toward a QB of the future next year...but I ain't in control and the people who are in control are likely in panic mode. Not ideal.
-
I'm with you, I think the drills are window dressing...but that's what get's the fans excited.
-
IMO, the video clips are for the fans...much more important is the chance to spend a LOT of time with him. his coach, his teammates, hell, can even speak with a professor or two. At this point anyone looking at him should know about his arm...what they may not know is what's between his ears. Chunking it deep to your favorite pass catcher isn't important to me at all, then again, I'm not Al Davis or Matt Rhule.
-
Unless it's a low 1 high 2, we will need to keep him at least one more year. He is a MAJOR help to a new/young QB.
-
ST's is more than returners. How was the punting game, the coverage units, the field goal and extra point game, could we expect to block a punt here and there...recover an onsides kick. That's what I'm talking about...the unit, not the returner.
-
This was kinda my point...of course I remember Smith being a boss out there...but that doesn't make our ST unit good or even great...and certainly not consistent. Would love for the next coach to focus on that.
