  1. Big fan. Played a lot of football with guys that looked like that, amazingly heavy handed, powerful, WILD. Hope he can stick. Great pick.
  2. No thank you. Let Moton play where he's at his best, and let Icky learn. We aren't likely to make the playoffs this season unless Baker comes and is great.
  3. Was coming back to congratulate you. Great job.
  4. IMO? It's because it's the best way for them to try to win against better competition week in and week out. I hope he doesn't start the season, but we are gonna take it easy with him. Play lockdown D, and run the hell outta the ball. Don't ask him (or Sam) to carry a heavy load. That said, if we get Baker and Corral sits for a season, that would likely be the best outcome.
  5. Accurate. If this thing clicks for Corral...this could be a wild ride. This guy has legit arm talent, and we are building a very strong defense and seemingly a strong run game. Sounds like Seattle 10 years ago. I'm stoked.
  6. Need to change my screen name. That's typically what I sign off with when I'm frustrated....it's happened on this board....a LOT.
  7. My take was kinda joking, kinda serious. I've worked for guys like Tepper...I can tell you, they are that blunt, and expect you not to take it personally. But to me, since the end of the season, this team feels like it's making "different" decisions...smells like a real front office. If it's Rhule getting smarter and experienced and he's still calling the shots (not buying it), great...that would be a great thing.
  8. We've never had great coaching here, maybe Foxy was, but Hurney was an anchor...but we have consistently had bad front offices. Being the best in this teams history isn't saying much, but I sure do appreciate it. The Teddy, Sam, CJ Henderson, CMC extension, Gilmore trade Robby extension, etc. etc. etc....we just seem to make stupid decisions, but man, this feels much smarter and calculated.
  9. Can't believe I typed it...such a rarity on this site. LOL.
  10. Remember how easy it was to build around Russell Wilson all those years ago? If he hits...we can do the exact same thing. This is as excited as I have been as a fan in many years.
  11. Same. Feels like we made smart decisions...which is very rare for the Panthers in general...and certainly rare in the draft. I'm very happy, even if it all blows up...at least it was the right calls...IMO.
  12. My hunch...not that it matters. Dave: Matt sit down with me for a minute. Matt sits. Dave: Would you rather keep your job, or have control over the roster? Matt squirms. Dave: That settles it then, can you ask Dan and Scott to step in here on your way out. Thanks.
  13. Davis: 6'1. 4.6 40. 115 Broad Jump. 36.5" vertical. 230 LBS. Smith: 6'3.5". 4.52 40. 128 Broad Jump. 37.5" vertical. 250 LBS. Obviously doesn't have the football mind, but man...that's a freaky dude.
  14. I'm not convinced. I'm wondering if they want him to play the Thomas Davis role here.
  15. Yeap. His release and processing is wild...if he can keep his brain in the right place, he could be a legit starter...IMO. Had good coaching as well. He needs to sit a year, but I'm not sure that he will unless we snag Baker.
  16. Target centers and guards....maybe a safety that can fly. LB and RB as well.
  17. If you told me that we would get Icky and Corral and we didn't have to trade a 1, 2, or a star player to achieve that....I'd have simply not believed you. He may not make it, and odds say he won't...but I liked him more than any QB in this draft.
  18. Skinny Russell Wilson with some issues between the ears. That's how I've always seen him...love the pick...if it works out, it's a homerun....if it doesn't, it was surely worth the gamble for this team at this time.
  19. Yup. Total athletic freak of a man, and very smart as well. I have been impressed with him for a while, still can't believe we got him and didn't have to move up.
  20. I feel that we do want to trade back to 9-16 or so it seems, but man, I really just want them to take a blue chip tackle if he's there. Even if Neal and Icky are gone, Cross is a fine tackle, and may end up being the better pass protector of the bunch. Just don't screw this position up any further, it's time.
  21. Ravens looking at QB or CB to make that move? Maybe they have Malik high.
