    I have to be honest, I'm extremely excited about this pick. All those picks were not going to make this team, we just got a long term starter at T in the 4th. Heck Yes.

    I put a Butt on the Smoker last night at midnight, sitting pretty at 156 when I left the house for work this morning. Going to use said butt as an excuse to leave around 2/3 today and head home. Having 7 friends over to the house, and will have a belly full of a mixed bag of IPA's. Also, I think I may try a batch of those poppers.

    I've seen this done a few times, but never done it myself. That said, I have both. 2 gas grills, 1 charcoal, and 1 smoker. My wife loathes my corner of the deck. I use each for different cooking styles/methods.

    We can beat around the bush all day on who was/is the better WR/prospect. I can tell you 1 thing though, give me the WR with the routes, and hands, and I will beat your speed/size guy all day long. Sammy is explosive, big, strong, etc...but he doesn't have the routes or hands that OBJ does.

    Nice job man. Just be careful with the "lease back" portion of it. I would prefer to delay closing until they can get out, but it's not that big of a deal.

    If we can sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal, and be able to cut him before the season with little cap ramifications, I"m in. See how he plays in TC, and go from there.

    Jarrett, Clausen, Edwards, Brown, etc....all positions of high need, even though they kept falling Hurney had to get his hands on them. Trading up to get Brown and Edwards, and was possibly shopping our 1st to move up that year to get Pickles. He absolutely drafted for need moreso than BPA. Just my opinion though.

    I don't think they are the same player, nor are we as close to a ring as the Falcons thought they were back then. David is no Thomas.

    Hurney routinely drafted for need instead of BPA. He also seemed to favor the type picks that translate quickly to the NFL. OT, RB, LB. Many of those positions, if high rounders, play right away. This is the absolute worst way to run a team, but a very good way to ruin one.

    If you think for a second that Cam could march into The Big Cat's office and demand a coaching change, you haven't been following the Panthers very long. JR would tell him to close the door on his way out, and that would be the end of it. The NFL isn't the NBA, or for that matter the MLB. Very few players have the ability to even consider what you suggested.

    BPA means best player available. If you make a trade, and select anyone that you have graded at or higher than that selection, you are still drafting the best player available at your spot.

    I have a really close friend that is a huge Eagles fan, and knows his football. He has said the exact same thing for years, but those fans sure do love their offense.

    I tend to side with teams over players. McCoy was counting too much against the cap, was dancing, and his yards per carry was going down IIRC. Chip is going to wear out his welcome, if that hasn't happened already, but I'm with the team on this one.

    You ungrateful SOB's in the regular world. How many of you got a 3 day weekend, and are sitting here bitching? I worked Friday, Sat, and half a day Sunday.
