  1. Josh is doing a pretty good job of trying to get a long term contract with this team, and I'm happy about that. Going to be tough to get his, Cam's, Luke's, Star's/KK's, etc. all done in the next couple years.
  2. My call was for 8, a 1st, and 1M in fines. Pretty close, if I do say so myself.
  3. I think he means AP, or Shady or some type. Don't think Stew would even bring a 3rd.
  4. Yup, weapons aren't all created equal. Could Cam have had some more, yes, but that wasn't in the cards.
  5. I was going to say the same thing. We are asking him to play a very "different" role than what he is used to, even if LB/S is beside his name still.
  6. The more I think about it, 1 year ban for Brady, as well as BB. I would suspend Kraft 8 games as well, no contact with team what so ever. Cheating is bad, doing it again is worse, lying to the commish....we have all seen how this plays out.
  7. I kinda agree with you. 2016 1st round pick. 1,000,000 from the Pats for cheating once again. 16 games for Brady. At first I would have let the whole thing go, but this franchise has been at this crap for a while now, time for some serious pain, at least enough for Kraft to rethink his demigod.
  8. It was just funny wording. Using JR and "us" differently.
  9. My folks live up there, really nice place to live, but that's a little weird.
  10. I think he is wrong. If he is fully cleared, this might be the best team out there for him.
  11. I'm not shitting on Eli, I just think that Rivers is better than he is. If I had one game to win, equal coaches and surrounding talent, and I have Rivers, Ben, or Eli to pick from, I'm taking Rivers, then Ben, then Eli. That's pretty much all I'm saying. Certainly not tearing anyone down.
  12. I'm not even sure what numbers you are quoting here, but I look at an entire body of work. How would Cam's rushing TD numbers look if you take out the first year? You can have whomever you want in your top 5, mine are Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees and Rivers.
  13. I can, and I will. Everyone see's QB's differently. Rivers has had better numbers than Ben has had for a very long time now, in fact, I think that last year is the first that Ben has outperformed Rivers in a given season. Ben has 2 more years starting, and 1 more TD than Rivers, his QB rating is less, and his INT's are more. The numbers don't lie, and I'm not going to allow SB's to cloud my judgement when referring to QB's. You can, but I won't.
  14. Rivers had "prime" LT for 2 years, and if I remember correctly, both times he limped into the playoffs. He does have a "decent" squad around him, but what about keeping some talent, rather than letting it walk out the door? VJ, Sproles, Tolbert, etc,? No, Rivers isn't playing with scrubs, but not many QB's are. I can tell you this, I wouldn't trade our skill position guys for any of theirs right now. As to the Championship thing, it just doesn't mean as much to me when talking about how great a player is/was, same for all players. Not going to slam Manning 1 for only winning 1, same with Favre, not slamming Jim Kelly, or Dan Marino either. I just don't think Eli or Ben are better than Rivers because they have rings....they also play for 2 of the most well run teams in all of sports, same with Flacco.
  15. Go watch the 06 and 07 AFC playoffs. 06 the Chargers had the game iced over the Brady led Pats, one of our very own completely messed up a walk off victory. 07 Chargers outplayed Manning at home to advance. The AFC was freaking tough to get through back then, now, not as much.
  16. I rarely use SB's as a way to judge a QB, but to each his own. Rivers is a top 5 QB in the league, he just is on a bottom tier team. Look at the completion %, TD to INT ratio, yards per game as a starter, etc.... He will likely go down as a Marino type player.
  17. My thoughts as well. Concentrating so much on everything else, instead of it being "natural" that he loses focus on the catching part.
  18. Sort of important for a WR. I do wonder what exactly is his deal though.
  19. Stephen Hill comes to mind.... Either the kid isn't smart enough, or doesn't love it enough. You have to be both to be successful.
  20. My question is. How on Earth could you possibly know this?
  21. I love how many folks are losing their cookies over a LB in the 5th. On a comp pick no less. Jeez man, if they thought that he can back up Luke, and play ST at a high level, what's the rub?
  22. Hits his stride quickly, even though his speed doesn't look to have high end speed. Love his vision though.
  23. I think we just saw three straight LB's come off the board...all ST guys I'm guessing.
  24. Seriously, I can't wipe the smile off my face right now. I didn't love the Shaq pick, but I understand it completely, love this one and Funch.
