I think Stafford makes the most sense for Indy with Rivers bowing out. They aren't far off from a really good team if they keep building.

One of my closest friends was begging me to do something to get DW to Carolina... Huge Clemson fan and really wants a reason to pull for the Panthers...and when I mean huge fan, I mean HUGE. Has 2 Natty Championship (not football) rings from CU.

Eh....I was going to respond. Tannehill, Rivers, Brady, Brees, Smith...just this season. Now, I do think that's an outlier due to the 3 HOF QB's that were still going strong this season...but yes, for long term success, you probably need to draft your guy.

I'm with you...to a certain extent. I do feel that this particular coaching staff is SO far advanced from RonCo. that with a very good QB, they could scheme around the player deficiencies much better than the previous regime. That said, I would prefer to draft said QB, but I'm not going to raise holy hell unless the contract that we dished out for Stafford was terrible for the team, or we completely give up the farm for DW. If we can't do that, I'm fairly open to trade back and collect picks...or try to take Wilson if we can stand pat at 8. Lance is intriguing, but I'd rather go Stafford if given that choice.

Agreed. Bottom 1/3rd for sure, but with 3 exceptional seasons thrown in there for good measure. Really a strange and sometimes difficult team to follow through the years.

Wonder if they will try to move Stafford in the draft or during opening acts of FA? Any thoughts?

Ben is 3k behind and played an extra 2 seasons...... Rivers is one of the better passers of all time, never missed a single start in his career, is in the top 5 in passing yards at time of retirement, and did so while playing for one of the worst franchises in the NFL. Dude should be a HOFer.

I think for sure. Philip was always more talented than Eli, he just didn't have the team structure like Ben and Eli enjoyed.

Friend of mine was friends with TA during his NCSU days....that was one dumb dude. Let's just say that Philip and TA didn't hang out much off the field.

If you played in the AFC during the Brady and Manning 1 years, you probably lost a lot of playoff games. Add in the Steelers and Ravens in that Conference...and you probably lost a lot of playoff games.

Stafford could be good if we tag Moton, and Sewell slides to us. That said, I think it would cost us our 1st to get Matt. If they would take Teddy and a 2nd, I'd feel better about it.

Agreed. There were times where it seemed he was actively making decisions that would only hurt the franchise long term.

Marty with his dumbass restructuring has always hamstrung us. Should have never touched that deal, and should have cut him this past offseason. Dumb GM.

Also, should 100% be in the HOF, almost won a damn AFC Championship game with a torn ACL...badass.

One of my favorite all time NFL players, just wish he didn't have to play for the Spanos family. The most approachable "super star" I have ever been around.

Same, not even sure why I clicked on this thread. If we get DW, that would be the nab of the decade (still young), as I simply think we don't have enough assets to go after him, much less be able to surround him with talent once he was here. I'd be a fan though.

No, he's not. He has very few 1st round busts...but outside of that, there's not much there to hang his hat on.

Don't do many interviews, but the ones I do take part in have me asking a LOT more questions than the interviewer. They are gonna have to sell me, not the other way around.

I used a shield and Axe almost exclusively, tried double axes over the weekend and really like that loadout, give it a whirl.

Been playing (sparingly) for a couple of weeks now, finished Odyssey around the same time. Probably 15 or so hours in, maybe a little more. Really fun game, but I THINK I enjoyed Odyssey more, that could be because I had built myself into an absolute terror and on this one I'm starting from scratch again and getting beat up by wolves and ladies with brooms.... Either way, the last couple of hours have drawn me in a lot more. Couple tips if you haven't started yet. Upgrade your rations ASAP, you are pretty weak early in the game and this is important. Take your time in Norway and get as much done as you can...maybe a few hours or so, then head over to England, it gets much more fun there. Play the story. In this one you need to play the story mode more so than Odyssey. In that one you could just roam around more and get stronger and get better weapons...in this one some of the things are story unlocked...follow the story, expect for the raids. Your early gear and weapons are perfectly fine to use for most of the game, it's not like the past where you get TONS AND TONS of weapons and have to figure out which ones to upgrade or not...in this one, they want you to get accustomed to a set or type and upgrade it and keep it. I use Varin's axe upgraded like crazy. Runes are valuable, especially the movement and defensive ones...I buy them (and all iron and leather) from all of the markets across the towns. Really good time waster durning the crappy Winter months.
