  1. I really don't understand them doing that to Sewell. Stupid coaching is a real thing in the NFL.
  2. I just do it, and act like I have no clue what she's talking about. "where is that cooler I had as a freshman in college that I used to keep in your shed?" "Can't believe you lost that honey."
  3. If you haven't used it in over 6 months, straight to Goodwill or FB marketplace it goes. Not moving "stuff" just for the sake of keeping it.
  4. I'll have my eyes locked on Christianson, Tremble, and Terrace.
  5. If he and Reich talked and this was the plan, OK. Not sure that I agree with it being we are as young as we are, but whatever. I get not starting CMC, Burns, Robby, Jones....but the rest of this team could use some reps. Guess this is the new normal.
  6. Correct, the direction looks much better than any time during the Hurney decades.
  7. Look up 1 post. You are confusing team with year.
  8. P.S. I didn't say that winning 9 games wouldn't make this a good year, I said it wouldn't make this a good team. Big difference. 9 wins, with us beating a couple of playoff bound teams would make me feel good about the direction of the team.
  9. Good teams make the playoffs. Average teams draft in the teens. Bad teams draft in the top 10.
  10. OK. I call winning 7, 8 or 9 games to be average...especially in a 17 game season. 1 game over 500 ain't "good" to me.
  11. It will take a few lucky breaks for us to be a good team this year, along with the good coaching and management that we already know we have. Winning 9 games is about where I think we are...so that would be a "winning" team, but not really a good team...IMO.
  12. Sam living up to his draft status, Horn becoming a true no. 1, low injury rate to our key players, O Line gelling with playing time, secondary being a nice surprise, us winning games against our division. Those kinda lucky breaks.
  13. In todays NFL, you are going to have some weak position groups...that's what the salary cap really does, however, what the Panthers have done is value certain position groups higher than others, and it's often been the wrong ones. Most Valuable: Quarterback Offensive Line Defensive Line Secondary While we have always valued the defensive line, we have always undervalued the QB and the OL position group...for some ungodly reason. This year, we look great at these position groups: Wideouts Running backs Defensive Line Now that's not to say that RB and WR aren't important, but they just simply aren't as important to winning as OL, QB, and Secondary....IMO.
  14. Bought a new (8k miles) truck this morning. Looked all over, knew they were overpriced, is what it is. I got way more when I sold my Yukon than I thought I would, so just put that toward the over pay that I did today. Hope to drive it for four or so years. Oh well.
  15. Not to mention cadence changes, signals, etc... It will take a minute for him to feel comfortable...hence why I'm hoping we keep him, unless it's clear he cannot do the job.
  16. Agree on the Jets, and us, to a certain extent. I think PJ and Grier are "hungry" players, which Rhule seems to love, but I agree, would love to see an "Alex Smith" type in there or similar, although I think that Sam probably knows how to "be a pro" he just hasn't learned the finer points of being a Quarterback.
  17. To be honest, I'm probably reaching out to the Raiders for Mariota or the Chiefs for Henne....overpay for them and attempt to save your massive investment in Zach. That team does it's players a disservice, shame.
  18. Plus, even with the 1 year extension, it costs us zero $$ to cut him. Almost makes me think that we have had a conversation with him and he has agreed to stick around just incase we couldn't get a quality LS, or if Fletch just simply couldn't play, that he would stay one more year. I think he knows his time is likely done, unless Fletch fails to show anything.
  19. Zach is going to be ruined by that team. He should sit for at least a year, probably more to be honest. They need an older guy...like a Foles or something to come in and take the starters job and let him learn. Has talent, it will be squandered.
  20. Unless JJ just absolutely abolishes Fletch in practice, then JJ needs to move on, and Fletch needs to remain on the 53. If it's close, go with the cheaper, younger, longer signed player that you just drafted. Reminds me of the Butker situation.
  21. I think he may mean equally as effective in the run game and pass game, while also being able to drop into coverage on occasion...maybe "starter" is the incorrect word, effective starter is probably better. Peppers was able to do that year 1, Bosa's, etc....are able...but those guys are few and far between. I wouldn't expect double digit sacks from any DE until year 3, and even then it's a tall order to "expect". Either way, I hope he gets a lot of snaps this season, and continues to grow. If we can have him playing at a high level in year 3 and 4 at DE, that's a huge bargain for the team.
  22. Unless you are an absolute freak, breaking through as a rookie, or even 2nd year pass rusher is TOUGH. The guys who can start, and be effective at that position as a rook go in the top 10 most times.
  23. Man, that stinks. Very few of the old crew around any longer. RIP Cosmo and Jimmy.
  24. Not so much play style, just body style and speed/length/hand size. Not at all trying to project what he could/will be in the NFL.
  25. Thats why I said a smaller Andre. Andre was tall and fast...much like Terrace, just had another 15-20 pounds on him. I'm not sure who he reminds me of to be honest.
