  1. In ENC its normally called a shrimparoo...some folks use low country boil....forgmore stew ain't known in these parts.
  2. Gotta be honest...and I know I'm from here, but that just ain't my jam...for some reason. People that come visit always ask for it, I just can't bring myself to like it. I will absolutely boil you some shrimp, boil you some corn and some onions...will cook you up some sausage, and some potatoes...but cooking it all together....just can't do it. Not sure what's on the menu tonight, probably some paddy melts or some homemade wings.
  3. Who knows how it will play out, but he is leaps and bounds better than Hurney ever was. Seems to understand roster construction, which has been missing from our front office for the majority of the last two decades. Now we have to win.
  4. Personally, I'd prefer to be able to cater the offensive style after the opponent, but we simply aren't there yet as a team...maybe one day.
  5. Don't forget those here who said he was overhyped in the draft, wasn't as good of an athlete as Fournette, and wasn't close to Marshall Faulk in terms of ability. I like to think back on that here and there.
  6. Likely 1, with little pain after, but could be wrong. It will line up with us having to pay DJ in a year, or possibly two.
  7. Hahaha...maybe so. Or San Diego is cursed...who knows? I'm still salty about Herbert I think.
  8. This would be a pretty big "first" for them. That team is snakebit.
  9. Anybody with a brain knew what the right call was. Unfortunately, we had Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney at the helm. When you mismanage a team for years and years and years...this kinda thing is just part of it.
  10. These are the types of issues that appear years after a stupid decision is made. "It's just a kicker"
  11. Honeymoon is a year, maybe two. Once you are in year 3, you are now married and the results should be speaking for themselves. We need to win some games that matter....at some point.
  12. I'm pretty indifferent. And I get the hokey college stuff...but we are dealing with the youngest roster in the NFL. Not so sure it's working from all the penalties that I keep hearing about?
  13. Yup. It's the name that has made the most sense to me since they stripped Redskins out of it. Old NFL team, and Old MLB team name...and sounds good. Nope...too much sense.
  14. Hurney in the 2nd was one of the absolute guarantees that you have in football. He messed up a couple times, but his ability to pick absolute trash between 33 and 68 in each draft was amazing to witness, and made my cry on the regular. I simply do not understand how he was so terrible in the 2nd, he was worse at that than anything else pertaining to his job...and he was flat ass awful at being an NFL GM.
  15. I think that you are probably hitting on it. Personally, I think that they know that Sam has the upside to be a legit guy, but also the ability to get them through a couple more years to get their guy. Teddy simply didn't have the upside to continue to "hope" with him. If Sam takes the next step, it speeds up the timetable, if he doesn't, guess they are hoping he can buy them a couple more years until they land their guy.
  16. I hated the Teddy move much moreso than the Sam move. We were pushing hard for Stafford and Watson, but weren't willing to give up the farm for one, and the other screwed himself too many times. Sam cost us a 2nd (not downplaying a 2, just compared to two 1's for MS) and some cap which "should" jump with the new TV deals coming. If we simply didn't think that Jones and Fields were better prospects than Sam, then I support the decision...and it seems that many talent evaluator talking heads did say that were they all tossed in the same draft class that Sam would rank out as the 3rd best. Now I have no idea what that all means, and likely nothing, but if Rhule and Fitt thought the same way, I totally get it. P.S. I still think that Russ and Rodgers are dancing around in their minds a bit. P.S.S. We need to address the OL to give Sam the best chance to thrive. We have to see what we have.
  17. Not to mention a derailed offseason due to COVID. I'm shocked that we won the 5 we did to be honest.
  18. Whatever the wife wants. I suspect this morning will be biscuits with some leftover pork tenderloin I grilled. Likely split a filet and a big salad for dinner, but we shall see.
  19. Yup, just didn't make any sense...unless they were unhappy with Decker, and that obviously wasn't the issue. I like Horn, and Sewell may turn out to be hugely overhyped, but man, I was drooling.
  20. Confident in the DL, RB's, WR's Optimistic in the QB, TE's DIstrust the Secondary, ST's, LB's Petrified of the OL That about wraps it up.
