  1. Yea, I agree. Brown will likely have an uphill battle to get, and stay on the field.
  2. 6'6 and 305 just isn't what I typically think of when thinking of power run teams and their guards. Again, maybe it's just me.
  3. I guess maybe I just don't have as much time as others, or I just spend it doing something else entirely. I haven't watched TV in months, but I'm outside working in the yard or on the boat for hours and hours every week. Cool looking machines you guys.
  4. Watched him after we took him, never really looked like a G to me...but what the hell do I know?
  5. No, many of us think that Christensen is a better prospect at tackle than guard.
  6. I'm not a sci fi guy at all, but don't really have anything to watch at the moment...I'll give it a shot when I can get my head above water again. Thanks, added to the list.
  7. Just google 2015 Macbook Pro. LOL. You guys really spend some cash on PC's. I'm not even sure what I could do with all that power.
  8. I'm singing his praises, but I don't think this is a true top 5 defense, at least not to me. Hope it will be this year though.
  9. Fairly easy to have a top 5 defense if the other team doesn't need to score much to beat you.
  10. My hunch...Rhule will HAVE to play the best players vs. what he thinks is best for the football team. Meaning, his way doesn't work, now we do it the right way.
  11. I would love for him to snag the starting LG spot in camp, and let BC really focus on tackle and being a backup/ high end swing T.
  12. Big fan of interior linemen in the later rounds coming from power programs. Dude likely starts at some point this season, and hopefully steals a starting role next season.
  13. If I recall, I think she had him as her 3rd QB. Taking a QB in the 3rd that "can be a starter" one day is absolute gold. Even if a high end backup, we need one of those too. I had him as my QB 1.
  14. Two of my closest friends won full custody of two little girls after both Moms decided they were kinda done with all of the responsibility and started sending both sets of girls hurdling toward a stripper pole. Drugs, letting them skip so much school they were having to do Summer school. The girls in both situations were 7 and 10...or right there at it. NC awarded both sets FULLY to the Fathers. Now one set has graduated college (both of them) and have good jobs. The other set are taking their EOG's right now and both have a 4.0 in a D4 school here in ILM. It's been wonderful to see these girls turn their lives around....point being, it ain't just the boys who don't become men, the girls also fail, and at a much higher rate than most would assume.
  15. You blame it on Rhule, I blame it on Tepper. He gave a laughably insane contract to a college coach with no experience...didn't have a strong GM in place, and gave said coach all of the power in the organization. What did Tepper expect was going to happen?
  16. Risk averse....the lot of them.
  17. I played a LOT of football, never jumped rope. Not saying it's wrong, just that I had never done it, nor had I seen a lot of players in the NFL do it either...again, not saying that they don't, just that I've never seen it that I can recall.
  18. Oh, I didn't mean to call it this generation...and I should have used better verbiage...it's a generational thing in the US. Starting with the Boomer generation trickling all the way down to the teens today. IMO, it is starting to change....although slowly. It's starting to be "cool" again to get married, have kids, stick together, etc...at least that's what I'm seeing. I hope it sticks.
  19. I agree. The Panthers have missed the playoffs for the 5th straight year.
  20. We have produced a generation of "me first" people. Don't care much about others, or their pain, so long as they are "happy". My Mom finally told me of a very bad time in her's and my Father's marriage, it was because of me...Dad told her she could leave at any time, so long as she didn't even think of taking the kids (they had just had my brother). I don't think many fathers feel the same way...a lot easier just to walk away and act "free" again.
  21. Careful. Totally depends on what your interest rate is, and how long into the mortgage you are. Also, where are you going to go. If you can live out in the country, great, but most don't want to. If I sold right now, I'd buy a ton of acreage and build my home, and subdivide and build about 10 more units to pay for itself.
  22. Yea, this home is my Alamo. I don't plan to live here forever, but I'll likely never sell it. I plan to build at some point...I'll be the GC, not today though.
  23. If the agent is good, they know what's going on already. Most aren't though...the good one's make most of the money though.
  24. Very common, and very sad. Having a kid is TOUGH. Having a kid out of wedlock is tougher. Having multiple kids with no father figure is going to take you out....you just don't have the ability to do all of "your jobs" at that point. What we need are Men, what we have are Boys who want to say they are men.
