  1. Congrats. I'll never "retire", will likely always either build a home here and there, remodel, or buy crappy fix them up, and do long term rentals. Can't really imagine a world where I won't do that, but who knows. Thank you for your service.
  2. Install an under sink RO system. And yes, it stinks, but it's been here a LONG time, no clue what the long term effects are, but there's a LOT of people here that have never drank bottled water.
  3. In my family only the men cook. The grandmothers could cook, and did occasionally, but not often. My Father cooked most every meal unless he couldn't get home in time. I cook every meal, my brother went to school to be a chef, and my sister cooks zero. Weird, I know. I knew "how" to cook, but didn't know why I was doing most of what I was doing. Alton Brown's cooking show helped, then I started reading cookbooks for fun...now we rarely eat out.
  4. Ha, my reason's are... She can literally burn water. I cook every meal, the last time she cooked a meal for me was 2009 or 10....somewhere in there.
  5. Stew's ankle never fully healed...ever. He could have been all time Panther, but his lower half just kept plaguing him. Incredible skillset.
  6. Same. I don't know how on Earth they can remember what shirt you were wearing when you blabbed about wanting to go to a Nascar race rather than with her to a wedding 11 years ago...but here we are.
  7. I was a CB/WR....so a smaller guy, but that injury lingered for years and years and years. Go throw a football on the sandbar.... randomly put you right on your butt in searing pain. You were almost scared to really push with the balls of your feet.
  8. That injury still haunts me. Man what a crappy thing to deal with.
  9. I really screwed up, I know I really screwed up, I don't want others to think that I really screwed up, but I think they already know I really screwed up, so I don't know what to do, like usual.
  10. And that 1 spot both the most valuable, and the precise reason we drafted Icky. Campen needs to slap Matt.
  11. A fool or a liar. Or both? I just think that he's in WAY over his head. Wonder when Tepper steps in?
  12. But not at the position in which he later shined. Icky is better than Jordan (meaning, he was a higher graded player) and should therefore be getting all of the 1st team reps at LT until he "loses" that job. Rhule is so terrible at this stuff.
  13. You ever met many folks from Pittsburgh?
  14. Tepper: Putting together a real "C Suite". Rhule: Two seasons of progression in a row with two playoff wins.
  15. I'm with you, I think they are wanting both to be pushed.
  16. I will not wait, and yes, this is legit.
  17. Health and McAdoo...if we get good showings from both, we may have a shot at a WC. Need Baker to just play decent to good, doesn't have to be an All Pro....and need the same from the run D.
  18. Kinda the same. Wanted low milage, needed a pickup, and got blown away by the price. I figured I'd pay like 5k more than a "normal" F150...nope...WAY more. Now I'm just waiting till 36K miles to have it tuned. She really wakes up after that, but want to get out of warranty first.
  19. I dropped from 237 to 189 by just eating better. I always cooked quite a bit at home, but over the past year I went primarily to eating home cooked meals and limiting portions. Some of it was just the way I grew up...you get a steak, you must have a baked potato...and eat all of it. If you must stop for fast food, don't get the fries and a drink, just get the least bad thing on the menu. Oh, and cut back on IPA's.
  20. Would have gotten one myself, but didn't want to spend that much. Really fun truck to drive.
  21. No, but not worth the pick in which he was selected.
  22. Seriously. He openly admitted when he bought the team that he was a "business" owner with the Steelers, meaning he knew nothing about football operations. So he buys a floundering team, with the head of said team having a God awful winning seasons vs losing seasons record, and doesn't hire a good team Prez, or "Head of Football Operations" guy. That has to be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen someone do that should know better.
  23. Honestly, I'm not sure why. I mean seriously, it's not rocket science. The league has been around for a long time, look at the most successful teams over the past 30 years and look into what made them successful. That's it really, its all right there in front of you. What I see here isn't a mandatory learning curve, it was thinking that you were smarter than the others owners and team President types. Hubris, ego, whatever you want to call it, but IMO it's not a "learning curve".
  24. How much is guaranteed, and when/how will the player get paid.
  25. Reminds me of Doctors, Attorneys and PhD's who start playing in real estate or ventures outside of their direct education. Just because you can pass a test does not make you "smart". Same with a billion dollars. Just because you are successful in your one little niche, doesn't mean you can replicate it in another. Seen it WAY too many times to count.
