Eventually we're going to have to get an offensive HC with the way the league is trending. I favor the Philly OC.
Wilks is a nice story but I think it's over.

Tired, but solid.
About what you would expect playing in game 2 in less than 24 hours with a depleted roster. Add in a heavy dose of adversarial zebras and you still get a Storm Surge against a playoff caliber team.
With a few days rest, we will smoke them in Pittsburgh on Thursday, assuming The King is in his crease...
I really want to see Patches, Kase and Aho back soon.

That call was taken to the end of garbage's driveway.

The NFL let Denver headhunt Cam on national television and got off with nothing, you really think the NFL is going to give us any explanation?
I sincerely hope that asshole organization never wins anything again after that.
Scum incarnate.

I dunno. I have concerns about the oline and the run defense.
It'd be great to be proven wrong.
-
At this point I just hope for the oline to come together, for them to put the best possible combination of such out on the field, and we finally have that sumbitch fixed for the first time in years.
Let's go Ickem!

Just hearing "Matt Rhule" irritates me.
-
Isn't Corral rather raw and needs development? Please, let's learn from what we did to Cam...let's make sure we have a good oline built first and then see what the kid has.

I would assume it has nothing to do with Baker Mayfield.
Alrighty then.

Behind a very good line Darnold will be a much better QB.
At this point he is psychologically irredeemable imo. Too traumatized.

Pitiful showing.
Trouba is dirtier than Halliburton.
The offense and power play need serious revamping.

Games 1 and 2 - raanta was very good at home. Game 5 - definitely could have done better on the PP goal and lucked out on the offsides goal.
Honestly, we have no choice to go with raanta game 7. Hopefully Freddie is healthy enough for the Tampa series if we luck out and win.
If we forecheck like game 5 and dominate TOA, we will win. If we have brain farts on defense and give up a lot of odd man breaks like last game, we better pray
Defense absolutely has to step up as does the offense.
Worrisome there is no real world on Freddie.

That doesn’t really make sense considering it’s been night and day at home. I think he’s just an average player who is overperforming with the support of a good home crowd. When he goes on the road in the playoffs all the flaws and shortcomings start to show.
Eh, I remember at least one goal at home that was rather questionable. I think it was a five-hole. Remember, he's never had this kind of workload consistently before. The defense was also a lot better in game 5 vs 6.
We consistently continue to have moments where we almost score like an Aho breakaway and not converting on them continues to cost us games, and continues to ultimately place too much pressure on Raanta and the d to hold.
I will once again beg the hockey gods for the good Canes to show up Monday...but I think Tampa after two seven game series is too much for this year's roster to handle.
And believe you me, after all the Tom Brady bullshit and the Lightning's cap shenanigans and cheating, I'd love nothing more than anything in the world to stick the stake into the heart of their undead Cup hopes this year and put them in the coffin where they so richly deserve and belong, but we would need to play at an upper echelon level we have not consistently been at since the ASB.

It would probably help if our goalie could stop shots that 99% of other pro goalies would easily handle. I think if he had done that we would have scored first and maybe could have won last night. The rest of the team came out looking good but Raanta basically handed them the game 10 minutes in when it was 2-0.
I think he is overworked and exhausted.

We started out okayish then fizzled.
We really have to find a way to play away games like we do at PNC.

I want to see him and Clausen coach a team.
One the HC, one the OC.

When have we not? Unless we some how implode I don't see it happening.
I just have a dire need to be the ones to kick Boston the fug out of the playoffs.
I need that city to suffer in terms of sports for decades.
Nosedive, you fugers.

This season can't end this way.
We have to win at home.

I have, myself, full confidence that … we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Island home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone … Even though large tracts of Carolina and many old and famous cities have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Bruins and all the odious apparatus of black and gold rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in Raleigh, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our states, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the Caniacs Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the Carolina Hurricanes organization, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.
Make no mistake.
Do not doubt me for a second.
There is now and always has been only one acceptable outcome.
They.
Go.
Home.
Boston.
Goes.
Home.

We suck so hard right now that I can't even go back and enjoy the highlights of Cam and Luke. Without the injury factor, both should still be playing great football for a strong contender right now since Luke is only 31 and Cam 32. If you'd told me during the 2015 season that in the summer of '22 Luke would be retired, Cam would be a shell of himself and no longer on the Panthers, JR has been forced to sell the team, and we're in the midst of the worst period of losing football in Panthers history I would've laughed in your face. But... here the fug we are.
A decade ago, I never thought I'd be more into the Canes than the Panthers. Here we are.
I miss the good Panthers. This modern team isn't poo.
