It's not the time. In a couple more years if a quality qb like Watson was available and we had less holes, absolutely. Right now? It's too soon.

I tend to hang there more than here anymore honestly. -

I'm very leery of OSU qbs at the next level, and then you factor in that he struggles reading defenses... If a better candidate is there, perhaps. Even so, I think I still favor the idea of staying at 8 or even trading down to get as many 2nds and thirds as we can and rounding out as many holes as we can.

Ned gets the nod; he will start tonight.

That whole situation is weird. He seemed fine by game's end. Must've happened in practice or something. -
Haven't read the headline, nor will I, nor do I care to. I always liked Marty. Seemed like a great guy. I hope his family heals as soon as possible.

Agreed on Fields in particular. I've read he struggles at reading defenses and that in and of itself disqualifies him from consideration in my opinion. Wilson is interesting but I think he's one of those guys who'd be best off sitting for a year or so, and I'd prefer to go in a direction where we get a day one starter at 8 this year.

OTOH, we can use all the help we can get at oline, and if he ends up doing well at any position, that's a win every time.

Hoping Fitterer is a factor in their decline.

We could really use a break from injuries for a while. -

This is not a statement about him as a person or his personality. but I hate the little prick. I hate his Houdini act bullshit. I hate the DangerRuss bullshit. It's far past time we start dominating Seattle. In as much as I think a fair amount of karma would be unleashed if we got him somehow, I just don't think this is the year to trade for a qb. There's too many holes to fix on the oline in and of itself, and then you factor in we'll likely have to replace Samuel. That said...if this situation de-evolves enough, it'd be interesting to see him in Chicago.
