I'm a defensive fan, first and foremost, so believe you me it pains me a bit to say this. We've tried that philosophy from moment one and it hasn't really succeeded. Our saving grace within the division is that the Saints' qb situation is a mess, Ryan can't go too much longer in Atlanta, and Brady eventually has to retire god damnit. The law of averages says so. Regardless, I'm not convinced that the Sam Darnold offense can score enough to win a SB, and honestly I haven't seen enough of Trubisky to know if he'd be any better. I'm suspecting we're going to have to trade up next year for the likes of Howell or someone close to him.

I view him in the same light I do Darnold. He can make plays at times, but I really need consistency at this point. FWIW, I hope it finally happens this year.

That may be, but I'd prefer to evaluate him with everything on the table in terms of his overall performance. Ints may look good in, say, Madden or stats, but the overall picture of what he offers to the franchise isn't worth an expensive contract. It does depend on what he wants and what he's offered. If he's willing to take a reasonable deal, I'd be more interested.

Eh, frankly, Jackson has never lived up to his draft capital. Often injured, struggles with tackling, gives up a big play too often. Very hit and miss.

Reminds me of Kirk Cousins. With the right tools, he can game manage, but wouldn't expect much more.
