Yeah, whatever you say. The kid was a rookie playing with Davis Mills. It's not hard to figure out. Coaching and QBs matter.
-
I'm not even gonna go into AR right now, because he's a running QB, and I personally don't want a QB whose claim to fame is running, and whose passing is sketchy. Maybe if he turns into an effective passer like Josh Allen, I'll change my mind (but that ain't today). But, you're absolutely right about his O-line. Pittman and Downs are talented. Downs would probably be amazing with Bryce in this snooze-fest of a Reich offense. Not sure how you're going to downplay Collins considering his numbers this year. Yeah, and OC can overlook him at their own risk. Tank Dell isn't chopped liver either. Robert Woods is simply a good safety valve, as is Dalton Schultz. If you want to see a local review of what happened against the Steelers, here you go https://www.audacy.com/sportsradio610/sports/houston-texans/texans-load-up-on-a-plus-grades-after-victory-over-steelers Granted, Stroud seems to be the real deal, but even he wouldn't look like he does if he had to deal with what Bryce has had to put up with.

They do have better help than advertised, and we arguably have worse, but the true distinction lies within the coaching and putting players into a position to succeed. You have to believe in your QB and let him loose. Reich is doing anything but.
-
Damned good question. I'm tired of coaches that just don't know what the fug they are doing.
-
If Reich actually took takes the training wheels off and starts actually believing in Bryce and let's him play, then perhaps Bryce will actually become Bryce as opposed to some Reich-stunted rookie QB behind a highly questionable O-line. Bryce is a rookie who should be expected to make mistakes. Reich is a seasoned NFL head coach who is repeatedly and nauseatingly calling plays fit for the peewee league. He needs to get out of his own way, vand especially Young's.

Pledge to continue being a fan the rest of the season....

Honestly, I was a solid Fitt supporter, but he has not only supported some questionable personnel decisions over his tenure, he supported the hiring of Reich which was about the most lackluster hire imaginable. I'm ready to fire both right now. -
I've told y'all before, Shenault has always had trouble tracking the ball. That's a pretty big deal for a receiver. We have actual receivers with no such shortcoming. It's also why so many of his receptions are short and they basically have turned him into a quasi RB.
-
The biggest takeaway for me was that Reich doesn't really trust Bryce. I thought about it, and it really makes sense. For me, it's unforgivable.
-
That's basically what was said. My goodness! Anyway.
-
Like I said, dude literally said that we were sold "a bill of goods." Some people did believe that. I wouldn't refer to them as "morons" though.
-
Dude literally said that we were sold a bill of goods. On an off note, many of us told you before the season that we weren't ready. We KNEW that Fitterer and whoever else was talking bullshit.
-
What the actual fug are you talking about?
-
Oh, yeah, he mentioned how Chinn is being "underutilized" and is being used incorrectly. How could I forget?
-
It's amazing that they didn't get more interceptions---pick sixes.
-
Honestly l, I don't ever think I've seen an offense as predictable.

This should be a refreshing video for those that are less reactionary and more analytical. Just to give a general recap in my own words. Reich has stunk it up so far. Play calling is "crap!" Reich doesn't trust Bryce, even to the point where he opened up the offense for Dalton, but went back to his vanilla vanilla vanilla playbook for Bryce. Reich's clock management is horrendous, which is really unforgivable for a guy who has been in the league so long. We won the TOP, by almost a third of the game, but we lost. Motion and pre-snap movement is few and far in between to nonexistent. Our play calling is too predictable, even to the point where the defense (this time, Harrison Smith in particular timed his rushes). Our defense actually held the third most prolific passing offense in check, but our run defense is abysmal. Burns is being misused. Chuba is probably our best RB. YGM is growing right before our eyes. Bryce needs to work on some things---he's a rookie, duh, but Reich isn't doing him nor our offense in general any favors. Stroud and Richardson wouldn't be doing nearly as good as they are if they were here. Again, Reich sucks.

Purdy has good to excellent stats in several categories. He's becoming not only a reason why they don't lose, but a reason why they win, as pointed by Unsportsmanlike this morning.
-
I looked at the whole thing. You are the first person I've seen refer to his deep passes that day as "awful." Truly.
-
You lost me at "awful" at his deep passes on his Pro Day. That hyperbole belies your lack of genuine impartiality.
-
Yeah, I don't know why he would admit that publicly. Well, he's just a nice fella.
-
Scot has given up on this place.
-
Tank Dell hasn't been a slouch at all either, but Nico is the prototypical monster.
-
Oh, now it's "y'all" now?
-
It's probably Adam Thielen or Derrick Brown, which is somewhat disappointing from some perspective. Eddie has been consistent though. He does his job. The three best of their phases. Hekker is solid too.
