Don't excite @TheSpecialJuan like that.

I was thinking earlier today that he's certainly not a guarantee to be good, much less great. If we were to land him, I wouldn't exactly be doing cartwheels. He'd be a wait-and-see proposition.
-
Metcalf is a beast. He's a true WR1. No doubt about it!
-
Would love to get Metcalf. The speed is real!
-
He has proven to be injury prone. I wonder if we will resign him. I wouldn't count on it.

Even if I concede that he wrote the playbook, honestly plays are similar, if not the same in many instances, across the league. That being said, having plays is half the battle (or less), it's actually Knowing when to call them that counts. Of course you should also be trying to run the plays which best fit the strengths of your personnel, and players have to successfully execute the plays as well.

Yes, it was the same trash offense. I don't know how anyone would argue against that point. Brown may have had some say, but I doubt that that B.S. was his, mostly his, or his alone. According to Google, the Rams run a "West Coast variant that's heavily based on the wide zone run." I don't think Reich actually knows what that is.

The only thing is---and I can't remember which analyst said it---is that no owner "completely" removes him or herself, some are just better at hiding it than others. I think what Tepper needs is a strong personality that will push back by explaining things in a way that makes sense, and in a way that Tepper understands. I'm also questioning whether Mr. Agreeable (Scott Fitterer) is the man for the job.
-
Tepper is not moving the team, he is digging in, and it's pretty obvious with all the moves he is making, enquiring about property and actually acquiring property.

Don't mistake helplessness for apathy. Moreover, it was just a couple of games ago that people were planning March on Mint.
-
That was funny. But, behind that sieve, I can't blame him.
-
A screen play? Are you serious?
-
They're in the fuging backfield before he even handed the ball off. What the fug?
-
Yeah, keep Reich even though he sucks...Nah!

I wasn't too keen on the trade either, so I certainly think that you have a point. Too much can go wrong if you put all your eggs in one basket. We had a lot of holes, and created more. People only want to analyze post-trade, but honestly we should've stayed put.

I mean, it's easy to say after the fact. Stroud's development from the one Georgia game appears to have kept blooming. But, I fully understand what the OP is saying, and I do not think it's all that arguable. This year's crop of QBs is the motherload (no disrespect to Stroud). We should've been more strategic and gambled when we more likely to strike the target, and this was discussed on the Huddle at the time. If we'd have been more thoughtful, there would have likely been no need to give up so much draft capital and D.J. Moore, plus we would've had another quality starter in Carter. Tepper has no patience; he just wants to win now (and by "now" I mean "now" as in all the time any time). We were set up with an opportunity to be thoughtful and strategic about short and long term goals, but apparently sh¡t our pants.

I have days and moments like this too...

I mean, he really doesn't move the needle. He came in with a little fanfare, but has effectively been a bust regardless of whether it's been the 4-3 or 3-4.
-
Can't blame you...but I'm watching.

I flat out thought we'd pick Fields with an off chance of it being Slater. But I thought Fields was it, even though we had heard rumors of Horn. It should've been Fields though. I'll die on that hill, even though Fields has been up and down. I think that he's displayed enough upside to land rightful criticism upon Fitt and company.

That's somewhat of a different discussion. It's at least a nuance. I will concede that QB play makes a difference. How much? I don't know. I mean, regardless of who the pass is coming from and you stop it, you still stopped it. That being said, who's better is at least arguable.
