I can't even remember when I came here. It's been a long time. It seems like 2004! I remember being on the other site (which was going to be axed) and being invited here. Damn, @Zod, how long have I been on this forum?

You do realize that the only reason some people are saying that Lance is a boom-or-bust type of player is based his level of competition. Most scouts that I've seen (like Bucky Brooks for example) are saying this. Lance has elite traits that project well to the NFL. With good teaching, learning and experience, I just don't see him being a bust.

Lance Zierlein put out a mock today, and he has us selecting Rashawn Slater. https://www.nfl.com/news/lance-zierlein-2021-nfl-mock-draft-1-0-patriots-49ers-select-qbs-in-round-1 Pick 8 Carolina Panthers Rashawn Slater · OT School: Northwestern | Year: Senior While some believe Oregon's Penei Sewell has the higher potential upside, Slater is a low-risk, high-yield lineman who has five-position flexibility up front, a great deal of play strength and pro polish to his game.

Wow! I can't believe I've been a part of one online community so long! I must enjoy discourse with some of you motherfugers!

I saw every one of them(the 9, and will see this one if I'm here), and it's still hard to believe, much less imagine. It's incredible! Mahomes may have a shot, just looking at his early career, because he began in an era where the QB and receivers are more protected, but, even still, he's going to have to dodge the injuries and just...last. That's why I chuckle at people who don't want to give Brady his due (which there are plenty). He may not be the best I've ever seen (which IMO is Marino), but he's the GOAT!

And I would ask them if they really think that Lawrence is going to surpass TB12's accomplishments. I doubt that Lawrence turns out to be the best QB playing right now (which, for now, is Mahomes). He's got a long way before he's in the conversation of Marino Rodgers, Montana, Manning, Elway, Favre, Bradshaw, etc.

David Newton questions McCaffrey's support of Bridgewater
top dawg replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Newton can be such a putz sometimes. He should think before he writes--consider the consequences! -
I became more disappointed in Cam as time went on because I didn't see the growth and development that (at the time) I thought that he was capable of. Notwithstanding the injuries, it became clearer to me over time that he had already hit his ceiling, and that his mechanics just weren't going to appreciably improve, and neither was his decision making or touch on intermediate throws. Sure, Rivera and company didn't help by running him silly, but running from the QB position should always be a secondary thing at the pro level, because a kid can get seriously hurt out there. I could be wrong, but I think that Lance is naturally a better passer and has more arm talent than Cam. And, just as important, I think he is probably a better decision maker. So, I really don't see the on-point comparison.

Schefter thinks Darnold worth 1st rounder if traded
top dawg replied to Ja Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Darnolds took care of the ball better, he'd be worth a first. -
I'd be reluctant to give up a first for him. Stafford had many exceptional stats that were pretty damned good considering the stats of his weapons and the rest of the Lions. I can't say the same for Kerr. That said, if the price is right, hell, why not?
